Heading out for ITALIAN, where to go?

And not looking to wait an hour in line somewhere. Was going to try Rino's place since it looked good on triple D's but they may have a long wait.

Re: Heading out for ITALIAN, where to go?

I've gone to Rinos place once and waited 2 hours outside during an off time that you wouldnt think there would be a line. Was it good? Yes but maybe at the most 45 minutes wait good. Plus parking sucks, all street parking. Sometimes for no wait (still call) I shoot up 93 to exit one in Salem NH and hit either the Colosseum http://www.thecolosseumrestaurant.com/ or Trattoria Amalfi (cheaper) http://www.tamalfi.com/ I get the seafood amalfi which is real good and if you like spicy ask for it fra diavolo.

I'm also partial to Ciao Bella in Worcester. They have a really small seating area so you have to time your meal right to get a seat but the food is outstanding.

Re: Heading out for ITALIAN, where to go?

Allora is top notch Meditteranean in Marlboro, Sorrentos on Main Street in Marlboro has excellent North Italian, and lastly, Buca Di Bipo in Worcester gets a favorite vote for family style Italian food.

I like your style. Half of my family is from/still in the North End. As for pastry, may I suggest Modern Pastry on Hanover Street over Bovas. Bovas is more for the 2am drunk calzone/pizza.
