common man is great place for dinner, top notch food.

I'm also looking for a place for christmas week, new years oir a few days of it.

I've seen lots of stuff on craigslist NH under vacations, i'm keeping an eye there for last minute deals. What do you have planned up there besides a day of skiiing?

+1 on the Common Man. They've got both a nice restaurant and a pub and I believe they have separate New Years Eve parties in each depending on your budget. Skiing/boarding is awesome right now. Can't believe it's only December.

Also, since Waterville, Loon and Cranmore had a nasty divorce there are plenty of tickets on craigslist (craigshelper.com is better for searching).

    couple of DO NOT EATS:
    Fratellos
    Gordi's
    Elvios
    Truants Tavern

    DO EATS
    Common Man
For chinese go to Woodstock at the set of lights (Imperial Palace I think it is) they are good and it's a safe place
GH Pizza for pizza or subs
    Woodstock Inn

New Dunkin Donuts in town too.

Contact LoonRes for condo rentals but they'll be going for a premium that week.

I can't tell you about many condos or hotels because I never stay in any of them as my rents have a condo in the Village of Loon so that's where I stay.

Mike - you still have my number. I am working that week so give me a call if you end up in the area and I'll swing by and say hello.

To anyone going to Lincoln for the Holidays - PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. I will not be your friend if you drive drunk and I stop you. I will treat you like every other fukker that I catch drinking and driving so please don't do it. /

FWIW, I ate at the Common Man in Lincoln when I was up there in September and my girlfriend and I weren't really impressed. It has a cool atmosphere (think alpine lodge), but we both found the food to be a bit bland and over-priced.

As for accommodations, it is too late to book with them now for New Year's weekend, but maybe next year if you want to make the trip, check out The Mountain View Grand in Whitefield NH New Hampshire Hotel Conference Center | Luxury Hotel Destination Wedding | North Conway Golf Course Corporate Meeting - Mountain View Grand Hotel We stayed there for a few days this fall and loved every minute of it

My friends used to own the Gypsy Cafe but sold it last year. Not sure if it is still the same name but the food there was very good. I know my friend left all his recipes so it should still be good. It is a bit on the pricey side and gets busy quick (not enough tables), so make a reservation if you are interested.

Loon and the holidays...you are a crazy if you want to ski/board, crowds will be big unless you are skiing New years day but I doubt you will be in any condition if I know you well enough.

    Enjoy!

Fratello's is usually pretty good eats, never been to the one in Lincoln though. You can count on The Common Man for good food all the time, no matter which one you go to..Concord included.
My choice would definitely be the Woodstock Inn - great food, atmosphere, and beers.

In the fall, during peak leaf peeper season, there's nothing better than ripping up the Kanc after a few Pig's Ears. I have a buddy that used to call it 'Liquid Lawson'. You guys should try it sometime, be sure to post some clips of knee dragging and stoppies on the street too.

Mike, any luck? How many people are you going up with? I'm looking for a place for just myself or maybe myself +1 (same bed) but most I'm finding are for at least 4 people. let me know if you're interested in splitting something.

No you ruin all the fun. I like the Liquid Lawson idea. Sounds like a fuckin blast.

    I'm kidding.

So how is the new gig and house and the likes of Lincoln NH. Got any good stories from this fall? Drunk campers and shit. You get Tripoli rooad duty or is that the Sherrifs? That road is IDIOT central during the summer months. I do some fishing up at Russell Pond in woodstcok. They usually stock the crap out of it and I always limit out. But they are stockers and small but still fun to limit out.
