I was thinking the same thing. I love that area, myabe not the traffic but Grapevine area, the open land, open carry and the BBQ .... oh the BBQ. Didnt another member move out there Q I think it was?

low inventory right now on 495 belt, really low

we are just watching and waiting for the right one. but generally i dont think its excessively bubbly maybe the 800k house last year in dec is now 830? but i think that goes for all housing in general around boston its been just going up in and out of 495

Billerica/ burlington have some nice gems if you like it and yor wants are met location/ school/ land etc

you will only regret it if you buy an old shithouse that constantly needs work. the area has almost everything you could want in a traditional suburbia. 20 years from now we'll be seeing costal cities flood and houses in this area will just cost more.

If you want I have a realtor I do trust. she has her minuses but the bottom line is that she'll get a good deal and knows the areas very well.

Best of luck, dude. I'm in a similar boat... been looking in the general 495/90 area for quite some time now... nearly a year & a half. I regret not buying sooner because the market has been steadily getting worse and more competitive over the past 12 months.

If you'll be working in Wilmington, the Groton area is awesome. My brother lives there & loves it. If it weren't so far from Newton where my girlfriend works that would be one of the (many) other areas we'd be looking at.

you should have gotten our house. I know it was a bit futher than what you wanted, but the price was right and traffic doesnt exist any more.
