MySpace login redirects me to google

Ok, IT guys. I'm a system admin at my job, and I'm stuck on this one.
MySpace loads fine, but the login button will redirect me to Google
Yes, I ran spyware scans on SpyBot and Ad-Aware, nothing major. Nothing in the Run folder on CurrentUser or LocalComputer in the registry. I even updated my firmware on both my WRT54G routers (version 2.0 and 5.0) last night and changed to a 10.0.0.x IP network. FYI, the 2.0 LinkSys is used as an AP and does no routing.
I even found this clicky which leads me to believe my suspensions of a possible router issue doing some crazy DNS directing. I was going to flash DDT firmware, but that user on the link already tried that. Also checked all the settings in my router and see nothing that I havent configured myself (port forwarding, etc).
Just to isolate this to not be a computer issue, I got the same on my laptop, and my roommate got the same on his desktop. I'm at work now using my proxy server going home, and getting the same thing. I will try to reset to factory defaults when I get home by holding in the reset button for 30 seconds, but that's all I have for ideas.
    Anyone?

Your computer is rejecting your attempt to waste your time on myspace and suggesting that you *search* for something better to spend it on.

it's definitely the router causing issues. everything worked going directly to the modem, and when I changed routers. Now how to I flush out whatever's causing problems on my v5.0 router? I've flashed the firmware, but nothing changed

AFAIK the Linksys routers don't do anything with DNS, they just do very basic NAT with some routing capabilities. With that said, the most likely cause is parental controls of any sort in the router (if it has that). I don't don't think a static route could cause this behavior but it can't hurt to check if it's got any statics listed.

Other possibility: does the router serve dhcp? If so, it might be worth trying different DNS server addresses to see if the results are any different. Sometimes a bad DNS record gets out and takes a while for the correction to get propagated around the world. Try 12.127.16.67 if you do this step.

    That's all I've got.

thanks. I ended up swapping with my v2.0 router and it's working fine. I think the memory or CPU might be getting flaky on this v5.0 router. There are no parental controls on this one. I've had my eyes on the WRV200 VPN router anyways, so this might be an excuse to upgrade. The VPN connection on my v5.0 router was horrible anyways.
The router did do DHCP, as my Win2003 R2 server is just used as file sharing and print server

Good news then! I've had a few linksys routers that were crap right out of the box too. No amount of resets and firmware updates will fix 'em.

it just sucks switching routers because my IP will change with a new MAC address & I have to update my C records with godaddy for my proxy and VPN access to my domain.

I've never seen a router that wouldn't let you assign a MAC address. Just copy over the old one before you connect it to the WAN.

never thought of doing that. i know i can copy the MAC from my desktop's NIC, but never thought of assigning one from another router.

no it ended up being a bad router acting up. replaced the router, and it's working fine.

now i'm having other issues with my VPN, RDP, and Proxy on my 2003 R2 server. Reinstalled the OS last night, and no luck.

now my 2003 R2 server wont accept incoming connections. I know there is a setting that I probably missed when installing the OS, but checking online if there is a wizard or some other config I can do to avoid re-installing

If the Windows Firewall is turned off and you don't have any third-party firewall apps installed, there shouldn't be anything preventing connections to the server. Is this problem present while trying to connect via the local network, or only from outside via NAT through the router?

dont have any apps that use port 443 in the LAN. port forwarding works on my NAT router, because i can forward 443 to another machine. 2003 server has no windows firewall (service disabled), IIS installed, and only have Symantec 10.2 Corp client installed with no firewall

Can you connect to it on port 443 from inside? And is the SSL port box filled in under IIS?

I don't think IIS will answer on 443 unless that box has 443 in it.

I can't find any specific info on what that means, but if I had to guess I'd say it's because there's no certificate installed.
