I've got a cam for this season... Degs has a cam with lots of footage already. I plan on getting lots of riding/partying/event footage for this year...so we should have a ton of material to work with towards the end of this season. I think it would rock to get a short movie together, incorporating streetriding, track, parties, etc.

The rear facing Loudon footageb that I got last season from my racebike is supposed to be on the LRRS yearly video that Graham Pattison puts together, but I haven't had confirmation yet.

What type of cams are you all referring to? On bike mini cams like Degsy's or regular camcorders? I've got two hi-8 camcorders that I/we can use for footage if needed.... not that I like playing with cameras or anything (I'm sure Jay and anyone else that knows me would agree with that... lol... )

I have a sony TVR 18, and a remote wireless thingy (one of those little x-cams) I built a battery power supply for the x-cam, so now I can mount it anywhere I want and keep the camcorder with the x-cam receiver plugged into it in my backpack (or wherever). No sound, but it's pretty cool. Just to test it out I mounted the x-cam (by "mounted" I mean "duct taped") to the reflector on the right fork leg (like 8 inches off the ground. Looked VERY cool. I can't wait for it to warm up enough to go out and play again

I have a miniDV camcorder (canon optura 200MC). I plan on getting the helmetcam setup Degs recommended to me for it. That way I can get all sorts of amusing footage (think of the possibilities) this season.

    Hey Degs and JC,
What type of cameras are you using? Where did you get your remote mini cam? Do you remember how much you spent? I would like to film some of my rides and really don't know where to start buying equipment.

    Hey Degs,
Which camera did you buy? The cheaper one or the more expensive one? I really couldn't see a difference in the two except one is more "extreme" for some reason.

if you're just planning on fucking around (I wouldn't go to the track with an x-cam duct taped to the side of the bike... or maybe I would), get the x-cam for like under $80(plus batteries). It's not quite as small or probably as durable as the race cam/helmet cam, but it works, and it's a lot cheaper. Just my opinion though.

Wow, That's cheap! The ones I looked at were something like $259. and $359. They are also color cameras.

check out www.x10.com the site is kinda flakey some times, but they're a rilaible company and everything. There are all different kinds of shit, but the basic color x-cam is what I would imagine you'd be interested in.
