I'm the only Jew I know of that can't grow a decent fuckin' beard. When I was younger, people would think I was of some Latin decent when I tried. Now that it's mostly gray, I just look like a 50-year old idiot that can't grow a decent beard. Unfortunately for Big Shirl, I try every year for hunting season anyway. And no, no pics...it just ain't right...

I have a buddy down in Ohio that grows one like a fuckin' Civil War general though...

I also use a bit of the Honest Amish wax, especially when it's long and full. When I had it shorter, I just used some standard beard oil to keep it clean and shiny. This thing gets to be a real bear when it's long though.

I wonder what's in that. I strained out my beeswax last night so now I am just waiting on my tins to come. Gotta buy some more coconut oil, maybe some vaseline (unscented) so I can make two different textures. I really gotta do something different with this mustache and I'm hoping that's what it takes. The beard itself seems to calm down with just the coconut oil nicely.

from the tin back: coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, tea tree oil, pure apricot oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E, aloe vera and some essential oils

i've gone through 8 tins of their stuff, some have too much scent (cigar blend and bay rum) but i love how they aren't too greasy. good hold, nice shine, and feel. wears in perfectly throughout the day.

I don't have a pic handy buy I've had a beard since it was possible to grow. I used to swear by "Man's Face Stuff" beard balm from Etsy. It had great hold. Seems like they are going out of business though and haven't been producing the balm for a while.

As for the Stache, i currently keep mine trimmed short, but i DID do a handlebar a few times and used the mans face stuff wax. it was AWESOME. they are doing a 2 for 1 deal right now trying to sell off inventory. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

This was probably the longest mine has ever been, about 2.5 years ago.
Lately though, I've been keeping it trimmed to about 1/8" or less, because otherwise the grey ones are way too noticeable for my liking.

I had a pretty good one going until I shaved it off about a month ago. I washed it with head and shoulders and then with Grave Before Shave beard shampoo, oiled it occasionally. When I didnít oil it I used Honest Amish beard balm, and I used a medium hold wax on the mustache, mostly just to keep it out of my mouth. The official beard and mustache thread-637df533-ca3b-45e5-bd2a-077468891d9e

For you Honest Amish users, especially if you're single, have a female you trust give your face a sniff later in the day. My wife swears that shit smells like vomit. I always thought it had a strong smell, but not necessarily a bad one, especially in the tin or immediately after applying. I eventually figured how to sort of cup-waft that shit up to my nose with my hand, and she was definitely right. Now I try to stay right on the line between stubble and beard and dont use anything.

My wife had dreadlocks in high school and she said the smell very distinctly reminded her of the oil or whatever she used in those. She said it’s not an unpleasant smell, but really evokes high school for her.

Beeswax and coconut oil home made stuff was not successful FYI.

Vomit smelling beard/mustache wax sounds like a nightmare lol. I don't understand why anything sold to put on your face would ever smell bad. That's just uncalled for

I'm really not a fan of the honest amish smell right out of the tin.

It'd be nice to get something either with no scent or light undertones of panther.
