Having owned both I can say I like the newer model but unless you’re running a boost 148 rear hub, the rear dropout style is a pain in the ass. The older standard 135 dropouts and a tensioner on the drive side and perfect forever.

Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.-0zfitrixspjuwpxwom_quqhomcrvfo-nmzn2it7lx4s-2048x1536-jpg Here it is built with non-raceday wheels. Allez Sprint with Ultegra 8000 mechanical, rim brake (except the crank which is 6800 w/ LS Stages PM). Raceday wheels are Next Fast (55mm) and Next 45R (45mm, will likely be my son's primary race wheels).

Got it for $1200 with Ultegra 6800, Praxis crank and the Next 45Rs. Transferred my components from the CAAD5 to this and the CAAD5 will start wearing the takeoffs.

    Re: Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.

I had a relatively big week last week, at 10hrs.
I almost feel like an actual cyclist.
I took a few days off, as I was feeling a little run down, but got back after it again today.

There’s a medium black km on the book of faces surly/salsa classifieds. Think they’re asking $650.

Nice! I absolutely love mine. If it would put enough money in my pocket I would sell my Sworks frame and get another one, but eh, not worth for ~$1,500

That's excellent, especially in the winter.

Now there’s another medium in blue for $650 w/ a decent spec.

That one is listed as local pickup only?
My homie sent me that one too, but missed the fine print.

I don't know whether to attribute it to the wider tires running tubeless, more aero wheels/frame, or the compliance of the frame... But the new ride is so much better. Didn't think it would make that much of a difference!

    Re: Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.

I bonked super hard on Sunday. Went for a 61 mile tempo ride with the team and while it started out fine, I completely lost it with about 20 miles to go. The problem was my breakfast consisted of 2 cookies. On the ride I had 2 bananas and a gel, but that was not nearly enough to make up for the deficiency. Of course I caught hell from the team but I did learn something useful. It takes roughly 10 minutes for a gel to kick in. When it did, I was finally able to put out some reasonable power again.

This mileage is fairly normal for my Sunday rides right now but my performance was quite poor. Fueling is something that I haven't taken very seriously before and I will need to give it more attention. This is the last time I will make this mistake.

Fine now. Quite a silly design. At least I didn't get mad this time and had the carbon paste and multitool in my seat bag.

Oatmeal is the bike riders breakfast of choice.
Jazz it up with some protein powder, maple syrup, and blueberries and it’s almost edible.

I've got all of that at home and my plan was: oats, rice milk, hemp seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, and blueberries.
