Why upload to GC? I haven’t found it to be significantly more useful than strava.

Heart rate zones are customizable on a sport by sport basis. Strava doesn't allow that, so I can't analyze data properly to make sure I'm in the right zone.

Maybe I'll just start using training peaks instead and cancel my strava premium.

Golden cheetah is free, can be confusing, but pretty sure you'll nerd out enough and be fine.

A friend of mine went down pretty hard yesterday. Accidentally unclipped in a sprint. Broken elbow.

Check your cleats and if they are worn, replace them. If you are not sure, replace them.

Right now I'm leaning to the 1-up Super Duty double. Depending on how this tree situation works out I may order within a week or two.

    True story.
I’m setting woods pr’s on a bike that’s 4pbs heavier than my last race bike, so that’s something.

    Re: Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.

Work has been crazy since Thanksgiving, end of January saw an....unscheduled....down-to-studs renovation of the bathroom in my 1 bathroom house. I'm hoping to finish the bathroom this weekend, we've been living at my wife's aunt & uncle's house as they live in FL for the winter.

I've had zero time for my bicycles.

I'm hoping to be able to get back out there next week. Somehow I've been able to get less fat during this time although I'm sure any level of cycling fitness I was able to build last year is gone.

Several times. Its an iconic route because of its proximity to the coast, silicon valley, and other amazing roads. We gotta drive to get to the start but we do it pretty regularly. That specific climb is only iconic because of its location though...its actually kinda meh. Lots of better ones in that area.

If you go sub 20 minutes up it you are moving. The ladies leader board is astonishing. I haven't given it the beans up it yet, but still no way I could get on the womens leader board.

The real highlight of the loop is the fresh Artichoke bread at the country store in Pescadero. Its life changing.
The coastal view and that ending climb are much better than OLH.

Its one of those things where a full loaf is too much for 2 people, but not enough for 3 people, so you always get at least 1 loaf per 2 people.

If you're solo you take most of a loaf to the face, then have a nice, warm, sweaty piece at the end.

When I picked up the roadie I had the shop wax the chain which is supposed to be good for 400 miles. Gonna pick up a second chain and wax and try it out today. Gonna use a crock pot, so we'll see how it turns out.

Picked up a SRAM PC1130 chain and a bag of Speed Wax.

Gonna throw it in the ultrasonic with a degreaser then bathe it in hotttt laaavvvaaaaaa.

    Re: Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.

I prefer using wet lubes more frequently than the waxxy ones. Dirt and grime cling to the waxxy ones. So time saved from less lubing is negated by the shit storm of cleaning and re-lubing after 400 miles of road grime. I go as far as to degrease and strip the wax off brand new chains.

Every couple rides I wipe down the chain, add more thin lube, go ride. Good for about 100 miles it seems. The wipe down is super quick and easy as barely anything sticks to the wet lube. I run the chain through the chain pig every 2-3 months as needed. New chain every year. The pedros x dry is my go to. One 4oz bottle lasts a couple months.

From my experience, when you use waxes you need to deep clean via chain pig much more often.

    Obviously, YMMV.

I have 300 miles on the wax job from the dealer. He said it should be good for 400.

When I swap it out with the freshly waxed new chain I'll see if I can notice and difference in noise/shifting.
