I stand corrected. Good to know!

I'd probably be a little pissed if I bought a $700 (or whatever) trainer, was good at it, and someone said "Oh if you want to race meaningfully then you need another $300 on a separate power meter"

My Canyon Inflite AL SLX 6.0 for New Bike Day:

    Official non-motorized motorcycle thread.-img_9146-jpg

Pretty good so far. It's my first SRAM bike, and I kinda like the way the shifters work. But the brakes are trash compared to the Shimano 105 on my other Canyon...

Interesting. I have little to compare my Rival disk brakes against. The MC piston tends to stick and requires a regrease and you really have to search to find the procedure for it. Pain in the butt, but I am otherwise satisfied with them.

Niiiiceeee! 35's are a great compromise, as you get comfort without much loss due to rolling resistance.

That's what I was aiming for. I spend a lot of time on my full sus bike but wanted something not so razor thin road to expand my pedaling opportunities.

I plan on piling on the miles but once the tires wear out I'll probably look for something more road focused and tubeless ready. Any suggestions?

I also read about a funky rear hub system Specialized was using, but I can't find any reference to it in relation to the 2021 bikes. Not an issue right now, but I'm an I9 snob and would love to have a set of those on the axles.

Are those wheels tubeless ready? Tubeless is definitely the way to go. No flats and the ability to run lower pressures is awesome!

They don't advertise as TLR but people have taped them up and they worked fine with TLR tires. Tubeless is on my list when I wear out the OEM tires. The OEM tires are right around 1750g which doesn't seem too heavy, but my only recent experience is in mtbk mode.

I must be doing something wrong, or just have shit luck. This year I had 2 unrepairable punctures/flats on my cross bike (ironically both on the ROAD) and my rear mtb tire will no longer hold air after its 3rd plug this season.

Infact, the only bike i DIDN'T get a flat on this year was my road bike which is the only regularly ridden bike i'm still running tubes in.

I think it also depends on carcass thickness. I have almost 2k miles on the stock tires on my roadie and never had a flat. Have done gravel to pavement with them at pressures as low as 55 at a 32mm width. They are the gavia fondo 1 tubeless.

Mountain bike I haven't really gotten a flat and usually run 9 psi or so with cush core. Maxxis aggressor and minion dhf combo. There was one puncture but the sealant fixed it and I put a little co2 in it. 650 miles on that with those stock tires.

I have been having irresponsible thoughts about a new Pivot:

Kind of impossible to get, though. I hear Pivot is telling dealers 120+ days for new orders.

JRA has nothing? Those guys push Pivot like crackies under 93. If you like Pivot, take a look at Intense.

They have a couple Switchblades in my size, but that's it... It's crazy. Shortages everywhere.

Trying to talk myself into a Switchblade for the local trails. I didn't ride DH once last summer... It would be an easy decision, but man, these bikes are so much $$$$

Thanks. I'm pumped. I'm like 10 minuted from Russel Mill, so that's my go-to for a quickie.

That's about 15 from me, but only 10 to HP which is my home turf, but I've also started doing the orange loop at The Fells which is about 5 minutes from my office.

Let me know if you want to try my HP loop.

Absolutely! Thanks. Let's connect when the snow melts. I'm going to need that time to get my legs back. So out of shape. Getting setup on Zwift, hoping to get a jump on the spring.

I know bikes are a bit hard to come by, Iím going to be selling a new Trek fuel ex7 frameset, figured Iíd see if thereís interest here first. Itís their 18.5Ē size (m/l) bike will need most of the driveline (has crank, chainrings, front deraileur, and shifter) and brakes. Will come with the stock wheelset but need tires. Iím sure I have some I can throw in. $1300, please pm me a number for pics, as all my photos get posted upside down. Cause Iím an idiot.
    Thanks for looking!
