That's what I was aiming for. I spend a lot of time on my full sus bike but wanted something not so razor thin road to expand my pedaling opportunities.
I plan on piling on the miles but once the tires wear out I'll probably look for something more road focused and tubeless ready. Any suggestions?
I also read about a funky rear hub system Specialized was using, but I can't find any reference to it in relation to the 2021 bikes. Not an issue right now, but I'm an I9 snob and would love to have a set of those on the axles.

I must be doing something wrong, or just have shit luck. This year I had 2 unrepairable punctures/flats on my cross bike (ironically both on the ROAD) and my rear mtb tire will no longer hold air after its 3rd plug this season.
Infact, the only bike i DIDN'T get a flat on this year was my road bike which is the only regularly ridden bike i'm still running tubes in.

I think it also depends on carcass thickness. I have almost 2k miles on the stock tires on my roadie and never had a flat. Have done gravel to pavement with them at pressures as low as 55 at a 32mm width. They are the gavia fondo 1 tubeless.
Mountain bike I haven't really gotten a flat and usually run 9 psi or so with cush core. Maxxis aggressor and minion dhf combo. There was one puncture but the sealant fixed it and I put a little co2 in it. 650 miles on that with those stock tires.

My buddy just picked up his Phoenix yesterday. Cant wait to borrow it. Definitely on the short list.
Congrats!! Where do you ride?
I know bikes are a bit hard to come by, I’m going to be selling a new Trek fuel ex7 frameset, figured I’d see if there’s interest here first. It’s their 18.5” size (m/l) bike will need most of the driveline (has crank, chainrings, front deraileur, and shifter) and brakes. Will come with the stock wheelset but need tires. I’m sure I have some I can throw in. $1300, please pm me a number for pics, as all my photos get posted upside down. Cause I’m an idiot.
Thanks for looking!
