i corrected a girl the other night who said "hes a force to be recognized with". i let it slide the first time thinking it may have just been a slip of the tongue induced by alcohol. but when she said it a second time...i corrected her. i had known this girl for under 30min at that point, and now that i corrected her....ive pointed out that shes an idiot.

mine: supposubbly - wtf is up with being unable to say supposedly?

    and ECKspecially instead of especially?

3rd grade vocabulary should have this covered, yet I recently heard a mass state rep say the latter. I was kinda shocked.

    Obviously.

Everyone complaining makes a shitty miserable society. Everyone saying 'pho', 'foe', or 'fue', doesn't make a fuck of a difference.

Also, it would be 'your'. 'Is you' is not proper.

Don't mind me, I'm just really pissed off today because I saw this guy driving a white car. It infuriates me. Why the fuck would he pick white! Excuse me now, I'm going to bitch about it to everyone.

I don't agree with you about the privacy thing. But even then, 'the seacoast area' isn't exactly vague when talking about NH.

I'm going to second this one and clarify from my perspective

Anyone who thinks they have the right to change the rules of the road for their own comfort level or convenience!

I can't stand sitting at a stop sign when someone coming down the intersecting road that doesn't have a stop sign and is turning left into the road I'm on stops and expects me to pull out so they can cut the corner instead of actually taking the turn around my car the way the rules of the road say they should.

People who don't actually look at the speed limit signs and troll along at 30-35 mph in a 40 mph zone only to continue along at 30-35 mph when the speed limit drops from 40 mph to 25 mph. Is it that hard to look at the little white signs on the side of the road? Anyone who drives on rt 97 from Georgetown center to the Groveland bridge will understand that one.

People who don't understand what the little white inverted triangle with the red outline means. You know, the YIELD sign. It doesn't mean keep on driving whatever direction you feel like going without regard for the person that actually has the right of way at the merge point where you are being given a yield sign.

I actually witnessed a small fender bender last week because of this. *I* was the one they were letting take the left! I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the fook she was doing. Then I realized she was letting me go (she wasn't waving me on or anything, just stopped). Then, WHAMMO! It was nothing major and this all played out in less than 3 seconds. But yeah, that's stoopid...

I will second all of this and add: people who treat Yield signs like stop signs when there is obviously no need to come to a complete stop. Leaving my neighborhood is terrible most days because we have some interesting road configurations (the road turns at 90 degrees in 2 spots, so right of way actually is a turn, and the other two directions have stop signs....people are constantly being confused about how to go about this, and frequently cutting people off, running stop signs, or stopping for no reason). and then at the end, getting onto the main road, there is a yield sign that virtually everyone stops at, even when no one is coming. It drives me bonkers.

I also used to date a guy whose mother went 40mph. Didn't matter where she was or what the speed limit was, it was the speed she was comfortable going, and that's the speed she went. Got mad when people were going slow in front of her (in a 30mph zone, for example) and mad when they "blew by her" on the highway. I rode with her once and said "no more!"

    Re: Pet Peeves

Guy full on stopped in the road waiving me left. He was turning right onto the same road. I just sat there shaking my helmet. He just waived even more vigorously, finally rolled down his window and put the arm out waiving. I think I heard an obscenity too.

I finally gave in and turned. The funny thing is I was just looking for a side street to turn around on and pull over to check some gear. I think I pissed him off even more when I pulled over in front of him on the side street.

    Things I just don't understand.

    Re: Pet Peeves

I've found similar problems with people trying to be nice. It results in very difficult to read and unpredictable behavior. I don't like it. I cross a 4-lane (2/2) undivided road often, usually coming off a stop light. I'll be taking a left across the two oncoming lanes. Light goes green, and I'll stay point, both feet on the ground. People just sit there, waiting for me to go. No signal, no wave, nothing, they just expect I'm going to cut across them. Fuck that, I'm waiting and you're going and THEN I go.

It's so much easier if everyone strictly follows the rules we were taught. But people want to make up stop signs and rely on waiving from behind an angled glare-covered window.

I usually wave the guy in front to go ahead then try to drill the guy behind him who tucks in and tries to go too. It's a little game I have to keep things from getting too boring on the commute.
