I still have to clean it up, so I don't have any good pics of the finished product yet (wire bits, clippings, etc). I'll get some up later on today.
The scene of the crime.
The crossover in the door, with JUUUUST enough room to get the panel back on:
The right side all put back together. Thanks to my friend's superhuman install skills I was able to keep the molded tweeter sails instead of using the base model tweeterless sails which have holes in them for manual mirrors (read: epoxy, sanding, refinishing)

The head unit semi-installed.
The wiring to my amp rack.. (yuuuck!)
Chameleon green/silver paint on the kicker grille (looks AWESOME installed):

The semi-finished product. I need to clean it up, hide a couple of wires, etc, etc.. But here's an idea.
Next up: EQ molded in the clock pod (above the radio), Mobile vision DVD player in the lower DIN slot, 5" LCD monitors in the visors and 4" in the headrests.. Does it ever really end? Alpine makes some killer componentry to go with their high end decks, including their versatile-link terminal which will allow each monitor to display a separate source. (DVD, Playstation, TV Tuner)
The sound is AWESOME - the best sounding car stereo I've ever had. The kicker's nice and tight, not too boomy, and the MBQuart speakers are ultimate. I'm actualy more impressed with the $300 6x9's than I am with the $500 6.5 components. Big, full, happy soundstaging and it's LOUD as a ..
Total Time: About 12 hours.
