    Pig roast Info

Anyone have experience with pig roasts? I'm graduating from NU this year in may and leaving July 1st for the army so I wanna throw a huge bash in between to celebrate those... I hope to include a pig roast, so, anyone ever do one before?

never done one myself, but been to a few, my advice, get it catered

of the several I have been to, 2 were not catered, one of those was done by a fellow who subsequently started a catering company , the other was a total disaster

    I can do it .

We have a portable industrial smoker rotissarie with an excellant pig supplier.

Pigs take about 15 hours to do.

My partner and I have done a few guest apperances at Tony's Track Days as the caterers, so there is one reference for you and if you want others we have dozens of clients to refer you too.

This might even get Oreo approved.

Feel free to post up or PM any questions you might have.

damn oreo approved? you must be good (jk) yeah man sounds good, again this wont be at least until june so it's a little bit off, just doing some recon on this trying to figure it out.... the big kicker for this party is the fact that my dad's a jack daniels squire and there's a good chance we're gonna pick up a barrel of JD for this

Oh and if you're interested in doing this and wouldnt mind traveling to the south shore of MA, I would definitely like to hire... again a whole lotta preliminary stuff right now, but I'm sure we'll be setting it up within the next 2-3 months.

    Re: Pig roast Info

Lived on the Cape and Islands for 22 summers very familiar with Mass.

Our rottissire is a tow behind so no problem going to the South Shore with it.

Tell your dad if he can spare a 1/2 gallon or so of JD out of his barrel we will make you a beautiful Jack Daniels scallion demi-glace to finish the pig with.

Or we will just buy a handle in NH .

Oh I'm sure we'll have no problem coming up with a 1/2 gallon of JD for that
