First night went surprisingly well. She was up at first every 2 hours, then got a solid 4 hours sleep from 2am-6am. Better than I was expecting, and not a single noise or cry. Lets see how the day goes..

Good progress, and it's been 24 hours from the last accident in the house She's pretty consistant with the nap/play times, sleeps about 3 hours, plays for 1/2 hour or so.
I have one more day off from work, then my neighbor will be making 2 visits per day while I'm gone. It should work out great for now.

    Favorite spot and favorite toy..

ropey! my dogs loved those when they were little too... then they started eating them. we can only buy hardcore toys now. Bostons are determined to DESTROY

you prob already have one but LLBean has some nice dog beds/pillows. we've got them around the house, always get used. super easy to wash the covers and you can flip them from fleece to canvas for the seasons.

    Aaaaawwwwwwweeeeee.

My mutt also destroys anything rope.. also anything stuffed.. anything textile.. many things rubber.. and has taken a shot or two at shoes.

The last rope toy I bought lasted 48 hours. Missus just picked up the shards in the hallway, looked at me and said "Told you so."

Our first dog was a cheap date toy-wise. We were spoiled.

We only buy rope toys at the dollar store now. They last about an hour or so here.

Our boxers just shred them and leave the mess. The pits like to swallow them and either puke them back up or crap them out resulting in them waddling around the back yard until someone goes and helps... its really gross.

True, the rope toys have never lasted in the past..and if they did, they got pretty grose after a short time. She's not a strong chewer yet and hasn't been able to do much with them.
My last lab (lives with my parents now) is an agressive chewer and destroys pretty much anything. The only thing that has held up long term was a soft rubber bone called a glo-bone. Oddly, she never chewed anything she wasn't supposed to

My biggest single fear as a dog owner: having to 'help' a turd along...

Haha, when you have half a dozen, it happens more often than you'd care to admit.

When I was a kid, the worst was with our cats at Christmas time. If we used those icicle things to decorate the tree, the cats would eat them and then make what we called poop trains. You ever try to catch a cat dragging 10" of tinsel and shit around the house?

Our house & dogs are dog-friendly! Actually had fun tearing around the lake this past weekend. No track or anything, just WFO all over it and Nate's field...

    Lemme know when/where!

The only issue on my end is, my vet says i'm supposed to wait for 2 more rounds of shots before I should take her around other dogs. it'll likely be end of february before she's ready

Fuggin' shots. If we all did EVERYTHING the vets tell us, we'd be broke! They only REALLY need a handful of 'em. Fuck, I know people who only give their dogs what they can get at the local feed/grain store and those fuckers live to be 15 years old! No vet, just over the counter shit!
