That's great but I bet you're BP's gonna still climb if you get curious and try and decipher it. I dunno if this is standard procedure, but I get a 'summary of benefits' from my insurer for every dollar they pay out.

Sentence structure's looking as good as it ever was, so guessing it didn't have much cognitive effect?

Love how nonchalant you are about this! Sounds like a crazy week! Glad you are recovering and praying all the other tests and shit you are going through turns out ok! Glad your coworker recognized the signs of distress. Working 911 that is a huge thing to recognize. All over PA they have billboards describing stroke symptoms so people call emergency services faster!

That particular employee has become very experienced in emergency situations, he has a 5 year old son with a seizure disorder

The time since I have been back home has not gone without questioning my health, I had the exact opposite last nite when Stoneman & wife were over to visit, my BP dropped when I went from sitting down to standing. I had taken a couple steps and stopped hanging on to something for support a minute before going back to the chair I was sitting in, then everything began to go dark. 911 was called, Rescue came, but I signed off on transport after discussion.

Just came across this thread. I don't want to say it was almost worth it to see some of these posts. So I won't!

Glad to see you nearly normal...for you.

When my brother was at Dupont they did a life length analysis

They said 90 but reduced it to 84 because he rode motorcycles ??

I expect to see you at Rangeley

    Hope you're recovering well man.

FWIW, of what I've read about Spot, it's gotten extremely expensive recently (you have to have a subscription to use it). ADVRider recommends Garmin InReach, a much cheaper alternative.

my research the past few days is that the best way to get a subscription is directly thru GlobalStar for $99/yr, 3rd party resellers are more

I wasn't as concerned as the gals were, even given the current chain of events. You were basically talking coherently throughout with one mumble mixed between sentences. Having witnessed one of your seizures, I was confident this was gonna be a quick hitter and was nothing major. I can TOTALLY understand Anne's reaction and her insistence on calling 911 though. Whether it was needed or not, it helped put her mind at ease - as it did ours as well...

The last thing anybody needs is the "I should've called" bag hanging over their head.
Nuisance or not, calling is the right thing.

Yup. Anne said she was gonna call & got no argument from us. He was entirely coherent within minutes of making the call, so at least I got to eat my burger while we waited for the bambulance. And Randy FINALLY got his burger & fixin's...

I was starvin for that burger, but most of all, thirsty as hell after the walk out to my shootin bench, I had just filled a tall glass with iced tea and they wouldn't let me drink it, had I taken a healthy drink before I stood up, I might not have had the BP drop

You needed water Randy, WATER. Caffeine is never good on a day where hydration is key. Smoking the giggle bush after being in the hospital for 3 days didn't help that situation out either, especially that shit! In fact, in my incredibly non-medical opinion, I attribute THAT to your 'episode' Friday. I've seen that happen before...

Always eat a burger before you go to the hospital. I had to go a couple months ago for my gall bladder and they refused to give me a greasy burger no matter how many people I asked, hell even my wife wouldn't get me one.

Tea typically has much less caffeine content than coffee or even soda. And I believe general medical consensus is that unless you're consuming extremely concentrated quantities, the water from the beverage typically is more than sufficient to counter any dehydration side effects.

It has a more clear relationship with increasing blood pressure, but a glass of tea probably isn't enough to have much effect unless the person is very sensitive to it.

I have no desire to argue those points with you, as they're pretty moot here. I will say though that the 911 operator as well as the paramedics that showed up said the same thing: put the ice tea down and drink LOTS of water. Plain water...

Again, I'm not going back & forth on this...

when my mother went to a "home" I was surprised to see every horizontal surface with a crystal pitcher of ice water and cups

The manager said that the sense of thirst was the 1st thing to go , That a few glasses of water added greatly to older (Me and Randy) general health.

I get cardiac arrhythmia if I have more then 1 cup of brewed coffee a day

Before I sound pathetic I also rode my dirtbike 50 miles this morning at Pachaug State forest
