    Red dot reflex sight

So I picked up a SW22 victory the other day and would like to put a red dot reflex on it. The 2 that I'm looking at are the burris fast fries 3 and the sig romeo 1 pro. Dose any have experience with these sights? Is it worth spending the extra $$ on the romeo?

Just a range toy, right? Not sure I'd go with the Romeo. That's more of a concealed carry piece... smaller glass & more robust. Find something with larger sight picture. It's probably outdated & not the coolest looking RD, but the C More was a popular sight for comp for quite a while.

I have the Burris FF3 and the Vortex Venom. They are very similar to each other and itís a toss up when it comes to these 2. Get which ever you get a better deal on.

As for the Romeo. They seem to be priced too high for what you get over the FF and Venom

The newest hotness is the Trijicon SRO

Ya this is definitely just a range toy. Maybe a littel competition in there too.

Running a Vortex Sparc AR red dot 2 moa on a Volquartsen / Ruger Competition MK 4. Quite nice. Easy to dial in & variable brightness is useful.

One comment about red dot sights in general - if you have astigmatism, you'll want to make sure your optometrist can do a good job correcting or you'll see a constellation of red dots - not just one.

If you’re ok with used/ open box... I have a few FF3 that I would sell. I bought them and ended up switching to the Vortex.

They were mounted and a couple of range sessions. But I went with the Venom for the dot size.

Let me know if you’re interested.

I have a sig Romeo on my x5. It’s good. It is always one and turns the dot on by movement. The battery is supposed to last a while because of that. I have no other experiences with red dots so nothing to compare to.
