Ridge line has the in bed trunk that holds all my gear. Or back seat. The simple cam tie down I run over the rear mc tire, I run through the ramps in case they slide a little.

I completely skimmed and assumed this was a quick redesign of the Pilot. Didnt realize its the Passport.A little weird to bring back that nameplate... wasnt that badge engineering with the Isuzu Rodeo? I was under the impression they werent that reliable.

In other news, the new Honda Passport could be quite the complete (albeit a bit boring) package. Smaller than the Pilot, more cargo space, still has the same 280hp engine w/9 speed trans, 5k towing, AWD, etc. Should see a tick better on the MPG and 0-60 than the Pilot.

This might be my new ride. Can tow the trailer to trackdays, big enough to sleep in the back of, and not giant. The in-laws bought a new Pilot to tow their 26' camper, and it does it fine. This has the same drivetrain/tow capability in a smaller package.

My 2500HD had a 66 bed, which was the standard size at the time. Sportbikes I had no problem closing the gate with the bike straight in. Dirtbike/supermoto, I just left the gate down.

My wife's rav4 is in the body shop and i ended up with a f250 extended cab for a rental. I can't believe how useless the back seat is for getting my kid's car seat in and out, and the complete lack of room for the front passenger seat.

Weird. I had no problem with kid seats in the ex-cab Silverado.
I could never imagine trying to fit a modern kid-seat in an ex-cab mid-size (Colorado, Tacoma, etc) though. Gotta go quad-cab for that class.

With the front seats all the way back in my friends 2013ish GMC Sierra, the back of the extended cab is cramped.

It's easier to stuff the wife in the back on a jump-seat than it is to put the kid seat back there. I have plenty of experience.

Yeah, I have the same issue with my 2011 Silverado ex-cab. The rear facing kid seat sticks so far forward, that the front passenger seat has to be all the way forward (maybe one click back from the front). Makes the front seat pretty cramped. I think our 2011 Civic actually has more room in the front with the same car seat installed.

    Oh well....

He's still got the infant seat. Those things are huge. Basically anything short of a Tahoe or mini-van will require you to put the seat in front of it forward some. Much more room when you switch to the forward facing toddler seat.

He said kid-seat and I just assumed.
Yeah, those rear-facings suck. Apparently they're now supposed to be rear-facing as long as possible, to like 30 lbs. For the squirt in my household that was like 3 years old!

I'd try the middle position of the rear bench, behind the center console.

I'll say I'm envious of the suicide door setup. My only real beef with the ex-cab Silverado was that the rear doors didn't open far enough. I had trouble getting my riding gear tubs in and out.

Re: Is a ridgeline a pickup?

That's a common complain on the current gen Ridgelines. Hot setup is to buy different Honda door limiters to install on the rear doors; let's them open a full 5" wider.

That seat not even that big, one day a nice girl will let you blow a load in in her and you'll have a kid. and when that day comes, your gonna do everything you can to keep that little fella safe and sound.

I feel like the f150 crew cab has plenty of room.

I like the suicide door set up on extended cabs too, except for that awkward moment in tight parking lots where you feel trapped between the front door and suicide door... or is that just me..

I’m gonna try the middle spot tomorrow. But the problem with that is that this rental has no step bars to help getting in and out. Not sure how much I want to do the infant dance and risk eating shit with the baby.

The extended cabs suck unless you've got younger kids who no longer need car seats. I rode in the back of a Silverado 1/2ton ext cab for about 3 miles last week, thankfully it wasn't further because it's miserably uncomfortable. The ext cab is great for keeping your golf clubs out of the weather...

From those zany people who brought you the Baja thingamajig.

Subaru Pickup Truck is coming back in 2019 as a 2020 model

I keep looking for 4/1 dates. But they could use the Ascent platform to make a Ridgeline competitor.

who the fook gives a monstrosity like an F-250 X-cab as a general use rental?? I get if you're picking it to replace your own full size pickup, but a general rental for repair replacement

with Suby's recent trend, it will more than likely be equipped with a CVT

I actually like the front view, just can’t see how it will translate as a whole as a pickup, and that interior pic is wicked concept-ish which I hate because of how often the reality is dulled down.
