After my lease the buy out is 24. Who’s knows how I’ll feel in three years, but if the market stays the same I’ll buy it out at the end then sell it for a profit.

Basically the back seat is bigger and nicer than any of the other midsize trucks.
And the payload is just under 1600 lbs. which other than ranger is better all the other mid sizers.

Fuel economy is supposed to be in the upper 20s. I have only driven around town and not being kind to it and am getting 19 mpg. Ill report back on that one. Only thing coming that close is the diesel Colorado and that is pretty pricey.

Since you have a truck already you might find it weird. Coming from a car it’s drives like a car except I’m higher and I don’t have to dodge potholes anymore.

One day into it and I don’t miss shifting gears.

I got leather heated seats and a moon roof and a decent stereo. I’m thrilled. My GLI was a decent car but holy hell is this thing quiet and peaceful inside.

It will tow 5k pounds. More than I need As we don’t have a camper yet. But will be more than enough to haul a big uhaul trailer somewhere. And also should my wife’s ev die on the side of the road I can tow it home.

And it fits in a normal sized garage.

very curious as to what you're getting for gas mileage on the highway...i'm getting high 20s in my legacy working from home 3 days a week (at work 2 days a week 86 miles per day 98% highway)

my '17 RTL gets 26-27 on the highway. Slightly better if I use eco mode and stay out of the left lane.

Re: Is a ridgeline a pickup?

Haven't done like any long highway and im letting it remote start every morning and driving 12 miles a day work aggressively because im running late (then back home for lunch and back to work)
Yesterday was my first day off and all i did was run errands. (but i did my first dump run lol)
Im struggling to get 17. we are supposed to head to my MIL out in Smutty land next week, so im hoping for something better.

We logged every tank of fuel for the first 10,000 miles of a 2006 Outback 3.0R.

First two tanks were awful. Mileage improved slowly all the way to 9,000 miles. So don’t be surprised by the first few tanks.

Hyundai just released their Santa Cruz compact truck. 14" shorter than a Ridgeline.

that's pretty much what I want...a car that can haul a dirtbike

but I think my cng f150 only has 80" onto the tailgate, so sub 72" may require diagonal loading

nobody really wants or needs this...won't sell well

interesting ... i can see buyers of Subaru Outbacks who do landscape design, gardening, etc. being attracted to that. much easier to load small work tools and supplies in the back ... doesn't look that bad, and i appreciate the downsizing effort ... for hauling bikes it is not.

I kind of like the looks of the Santa Cruz. I wish there was a no back seats long bed option, but that would probably sell even worse than this will.

Cooler and wet dirty gear in the back and a bike on an open trailer behind?

It says "open bed" on the website.

I assume this means it has a similar function as the Chevy Avalanche, where the rear entrance to the bed can be opened?

22-35 single year old me thinks its pretty cool.
38 year old me, also thinks it cool, but to small for family duty.

But with the upcoming mavic from ford, this might be a new segment.

Nope, no midgate in the Santa Cruz. I always thought that was genius in the Avalanche.

That's too bad, seems like it would have made a great addition to this thing.
