    Ski/Snowboard 2016/2017

Well shit... they're actually a size 10. Fahk.

Burton Moto. Great boot, really comfortable... but there's just a little bit of pressure on the top & bottom of the base of my pinky toe that makes my foot scream the second I strap in and start making turns.

Is it that your foot is not restrained enough in to the heel, so your pinky is getting jammed in to the edge of the boot? And then once the pain comes, you try to loosen the boot, not realizing it's gonna be worse?

That's possible, but I tried both loosening and cranking down on the laces. Didn't make a difference.

Some of burtons boots do the same to my feet. The Moto was ok, but my Driver X's put me in agony immediately..

I was up at Lost Valley last week picking up a pillion seat and they trucked in a bunch of snow from the ice rink to hit a rail. Folks are getting impatient

Can't say I'm not a little excited. My board looks like shit though.. if anyone is letting go of a good, flexible & light board I'm 5' 10" 130lb, size 10 boot and may be interested in your gear after the holidays..

    5'10" 130? I'd recommend a popsicle stick.

At 130, obviously not. Try a plate of butter with a steak topping. In fact, just double or triple whatever you were planning on eating right now. If you aren't eating right now, you should be.

My body doesn't give a damn what I eat it just doesn't store fat. I can gain through intense exercise (muscle gain), but the calories have to be way, WAY up there. Like, nonstop eating 24/7. I've been sloowly adding a few pounds I was under 120 in my late twenties.

    Re: Ski/Snowboard 2016/2017

i went bigger this year. longer and wider.
141-105-131 x179cm. 18.8 turning radius with early rise tip. previous skis were line prophet 90s (125-90-113 x172cm). these are basically a wider version of the same ski and i love my prophets.

they were a 13 leftover my buddy had at his shop. came with a new set of Marker Griffon 13 din binding for $500. he says ill be happy, if not he will take them back. score.

me and the trickster need to do another Jay day

Saw this year's Warren Miller film at the Music Hall last night. I liked it better than last year's although the post-intermission half was kind of slow. Here's a motivational clip for the softbooters here. Check out the guy at railing carves regular AND fakie at the 1:30 mark.

edit: nevermind, splurged at the local board shop for some quality stuff.

I was the same and stuck at 135 till almost 30. Everything past 33 has been a shitshow, good luck.

I'm in the market for a reasonably priced second hand board, doesn't need bindings. Anyone?

Anyone else see the irony in this? I mean Paul isn't 5'10" but I'm guessing he is on the lighter side of things for his height as well. If not, oh well says the guy that is way past a cheeseburger.

My dad insisted I'd gain 20lbs when I hit 30... hasn't happened yet but I'm bracing myself, haha. I was 150 when I started college at 18 (lived at a resort and basically ate pizza and worked out like it was my job), then at 25 I was 115. Let's just say my early twenties didn't treat me well I did have this nightmare about 5 years ago I looked in the mirror and was extremely obese, now I have this image of my own super fat face burned into my memory.

Never tried a Flow but I've heard mixed opinions - seems like they make some decent boards but more of a box store kind of brand and tend to get beat up a bit faster. Take that with a grain of salt though. Personally I'd want to see the gear if I wasn't familiar with the brand, might be a good deal but a bit of a gamble.

Heat those suckers up with a hair dryer and stuff your feet in em after. May help what are you wearing for socks?

Hm. I could give that a whirl.

I tried thin socks n I tried thick socks. Didn't make a dif. I think the outside of the boot squeezes the side of my foot below the base of my pinky toe.
