    Re: Snowmobilers

Coos was fantastic Saturday, especially earlier in the day. We clocked 140+ miles.
Sunday...corridor trails ranged from rough to okay, connector trails held up well. All in all, not bad for a Sunday given the heavy traffic and warmer temps. Another 75 miles.
Even bumped into a fellow NESRian...Yamarider!

    Re: Snowmobilers

The trails in Conway sucked this past weekend, they are in need of a couple feet of snow in a bad way. Couple real bad washouts from the rain storm a little while back and the trails that were cover were covered in ice.

Skis worked great he said, feels smoother above 45 and the trails were thin.

Up at Sunapee today and talked to the groomer. He’s been out twice all season, and both times there was a rain or thaw within a few days. Cover is down to 4-5” of frozen granular with plenty of icy patches.

Bolted the ammo can / tool box to the rear luggage rack. May have to Velcro the handle down so it doesn’t rattle.

Its not that hard to replace the front cooler, you just have to removed the exhaust, airbox, carbs, engine, secondary clutch, jackshaft, rear skid, and track.

    Speaking of surgery....

What do you guys carry on the trail for tools? The sled has a spare belt, but not sure what I’d need to change at trailside.

Lots of contact on that cooler. Studs too long, track too loose?

Old track is starting to throw studs, look at it on the garage floor and you can spot some missing.
