    Suggestions: comfortable business casual shoes

There was a thread back in born for office/semi-casual shoes and there were some great suggestions there.

In my new role I wear a suit/business casual 4-5 days a week. I have a few pairs from Europe that are great but they are old and start to show their age. Iím searching for shoes that look great but also are comfortable to wear for 8 hours a day.

Allen edmonds. I get mine on eBay. You can usually get them for about 1/2 of list price.

Depending how casual, hereís a good option:

I split time between office and plant floor, hiking shoes have given me the best support for longer days on my feet. I think they look pretty good too. Iíve had quite a few pairs of low top Danners, theyíre well built, highly recommend.

Oh these look nice. They wouldn’t fly for work but I’d def get them for daily shoe if not in meetings/office.

Oh damn. Those are nice. Probably too casual for a suit, but otherwise they look stellar.

Cole Haan makes some very good shoes but are upwards of 2 bills per pair. The ones with the Nike sole are spectacular.

I've found that the economy really follows the cobbler market. When the cobblers are busy, buy-buy-buy.

I have a Nordstrom Rack near me. They have some great men's shoes on discount. I have found top quality casual shoes that are last years designs for 1/2 the normal cost.

    I picked these up last.

Sign up for their promo emails, I think they do 10% off on your first order and then you're in the know on all the upcoming "deals."

I'm a huge Orvis fanboy, they have the best wool sweaters. Several family members just give me Orvis gift cards for xmas/birthday now. It is well established.

Edit: sign up for the spam and it's 15% off your first order.

Cancelled my order for the Bucks when I saw these ones. Should look better over the long term vs the suede.

Re: Suggestions: comfortable business casual shoes

Not sure the environments you work. But I would add a nod to the Clarks if you are doing business in the office only. I do a lot of walking, many times in not so great environments. So many times I'm required to wear steel toes. But around the office and other office visits, I like to be comfy.

I have a pair of black slip on Sketchers that have held up well. The soles are extremely soft though, they are wearing fast. They don't really go on site to often. But they are slipper comfortable walking around the office.

I have a black pair of Timberland lace up dress shoes. These are probably my favorite shoe of all time. They have a nice business casual look to them but well built and hold up really well. I've probably had them for 20 years and they are now about to be retired, difficult to find a replacement.

Wolverine Chukkas, I have a brown pair. They are built like wolverine boots but look like dress suede chukka type lace up boots. I've worn them too many times in places I shouldn't have and now the suede is getting dirty and matted. But super comfortable and very sturdy build.

Most recent shoe/boot is a pair of Ariat hybrid street boots. Many would call them western boots, and they somewhat are. But they are comfortable and add like 1.5" to your height which is important for smaller build guys like me.

I'm currently wearing a pair of these in that exact color. I found them at an L.L.Bean outlet store for $80ish. They are a great shoe!
