Well you have some like this:

And then you have to deal with this form of the public, who meet online, kill ex boyfriends mother, and get engaged. Based on the cross hairs red dot target tattoo on her face, whodathunkit. And the genius fiancé posts on Facebook that he’s a shooter.

That's one good thing about social media, many idiots who have to get their due cred' use it as a means of confession. They just can't resist it.
Oops, sorry about the virtue signalling.

Why I'm really, really glad to have front and rear cameras with high res. Some of you may recall that two years ago I was hit from behind by a driver who initially admitted fault, then changed their story when they learned there was $3,000 worth of damage. If the GEICO Claims Adjuster had not been diligent, I might have gotten stuck for it, so I vowed "never again." We installed BlackVue 900 two channel - front and rear.
This impact pushed our car into the car in front of it. That driver left before the police arrived. We were able to get his plate #. My daughter is fine, rear of car has substantial damage.

Holy crap.. glad your daughter is ok. So the car in front of you took off?
Because that car that hit you isn't going far with all the fluids leaking out of it.

Lmao. What could be possible change his story too? Rear end collisions are black and white, it’s the car that is in the back that is at fault.
Did he spin out or something?
I guessing if the car in front took off, then they probably didn’t have a license or weren’t legal to be here. That happened to me once.
As for the truth in an accident... HaHaHa. I got side swiped on 495... they claimed I hit them just like e30addict. My dash cam showed the same as above and that I was fully in my own lane and was hit.

WHICH car left? The one in front or the one that hit you? If it was the one that hit you it doesn't look like they made it far by the looks of that car's :barf:
Same exact thing happened to me a few years ago... a car hit me and drove me into a car in front... the car that hit me left. Luckily my gigantic fucking tow hitch drove its way through the radiator and presumably into more structural parts of their car because my bumper hardly had a scratch.... They left as well but left a giant pool of coolant.

The car in front was hit. His GF checked my daughter was OK, they snapped a pic of the reg and said, “My insurance will be in touch.”
MSP didn’t issue any citation to my knowledge - gave my daughter a form with the guy’s info. We have to file an accident report. But insurance company has found the hitter at fault already.

Correct. It's clearly not a rear end collision. Absent of video it would certainly present as one though. The other driver said I hit him and a quick look at the damage on the vehicles and one might assume he was telling the truth and I was lying. The adjusters aren't at the scene and don't know the setup. The just know what two humans, who never ever lie to them, say and what the vehicles tell them.

Fo sho. We have equipped all our cars with dash cams. Fortunately haven’t had to use the recordings for anything yet. We do only front facing though. These situations got me thinking.
My son turns 16 next month, I think I am going to start installing these in our vehicles. Besides, I've seen some pretty whacky shit on the roads lately too.

Of three incidents our cars have been in, two were from the rear.
Also spent the money for high-resolution. My observation was the cheaper cameras will record the incident - but seldom was the license plate readable. We were able to zoom in enough to see the plate of the car in front of us. If I play with the rear video to lighten the background, can probably pick up that the driver was texting. Sure seems like it, as after the impact he reaches down, then exits the car with cell phone in hand. Don't know whether he was cited for that or not.
Didn't like spending $500 times three, but glad we did.

It would be nice to get a discount on your insurance for having them installed and working. The seem to add more value than Driver Ed training.
