Walmart has the best deals for T4 and T6 anywhere. Wear 2 masks if you feel like its a covid incubator, there are plenty of weirder people walking around.

I have never found a better deal for oil, than my local NAPA, but that may be cause I get it at a wholesale price there, whether it be Rotella, or NAPA, or Valvoline

Thanks homies. Walmart does appear to have best pricing. Free 2 day shipping with $35+ orders for the win. #supportlocal would have been nice, but next time on this.

I can't decide if Toyota is either really smart or really stupid for not bringing over their new diesel for that truck. Everyone else has a 1/2 ton diesel and you'd think there'd be a market for it. Then again, maybe they know modern diesels are an EPA clusterfuck and figure it's more lucrative to stay away.

There’s some good interviews with chief engineer. He wanted diesel. Then realized he really wanted the torque of a diesel without the baggage. 580 lb ft in the hybrid will be nice

I'll have to look for those.

Someone who spends more time on the highway then in the city will also most likely be better off in the diesel then the hybrid though. They'll have good mpg there and plenty of torque to enjoy or haul with. Ultimately I'd like to go back to one vehicle and a light duty diesel scratches most of the itches as the best all around compromise.

I'll probably end up in a 3/4 ton with the gas 6.6 next at this point though. You can buy a lot of gas for what one diesel emissions repair will cost. Pay one way another I guess. Upfront or roll the dice and try to beat the odds on paying more on the maintenance/repair side.

Here he is. Not sure if it’s the right interview but there’s a lot of info from him in different interviews.

I would seriously just buy a nice 0W-30 synthetic and run that in everything.

Your truck used to spec 30 wts. And Hyundai/Kia seem to do better on the heavier weights. Their manuals usual spec a wide range of viscosities and the 5W-20 is "preferred" in the smaller motors (like their 2.0L) for fuel economy. The 6 cyl and turbo motors spec 5W-30 to 5W-40 for example. The 2.0s spec 5W-20 to 5W-30.

my vehicles get whatever oil my mechanic has at the time, truck probably gets NAPA/Valvoline 0w-20, (independent mechanic) and my motorsports & power equipment all goes to my bike dealer, who knows, sometimes I see Honda oil in the invoice, sometimes Suzuki, but I've also seen Maxima on the invoice

The bike and the truck get their own oil. The car and all the small engines get 0W-30. Easy enough for me to do it that way.

Ford F-150 Taillights Have A Feature Previously Unknown In All Of Taillightdom
I have to hand it to Ford: This is a genuinely new and unprecedented use of taillights

“New F-150 taillights do something no taillight has ever done before!”
    Let's talk trucks-123bc3413ff05bf4ff36ce0db9bf3d76-jpg

Here’s what those lights are indicating: weight. Yes, weight. Ford has a system they introduced earlier this year called Onboard Scales. It weighs how much is being loaded into the truck and then displays that as a little four-part graph in the taillights, based on the truck’s payload capacity, so you can see easily how much more you can load, right there by the back of the truck. No outside scales necessary.

Here’s how Ford describe it in its press release:

Smart taillamps operate like the battery charge indicator on a mobile phone, displaying the percentage of payload capacity by illuminating LEDs arranged in a built-in vertical bar. As the truck is loaded, all four lights illuminate, showing it’s fully loaded. If the truck is overloaded, the top lights blink. The maximum payload based on the pickup’s configuration is programmed into the system. Additionally, the truck can be set on scale mode, which zeroes out the current load and allows for approximate weighing of additional items loaded into the bed.
Pretty F'in cool feature, very slick implementation
