It's obvious that it's a running joke and I really would love to know that the whole story so on Monday morning I emailed Dennis and Callahan on WEII and asked them to ask Tom Brady about the hanging high fives. It was the first question they asked and he did not really answer it. Shortly after that it was a national news story and some news outlets tried to make it sound like there's a rift in the Pats locker room.

Same number of touchdowns if you include the scramble, one less INT, more yards, better completion percentage. Why do people feel like they can't give Brady his due? Guy drove the bus back from 2 14 point deficits... Is he Tom Brady of old? No, his arm power is diminished. Was the Tom Brady of old a champ because of arm power? No.
