Nice. I am sure you know this already but the Ridgeline has an insanely good crash test safety rating. I think the particular area it dominated in was the head on frontal collision test...it eclipses its competitors.

I'm hoping they add back the volume knob like they did in the CRV.

If that's one thing that really isn't up to snuff in the Honda's, it's their media center.

Not that I do enough miles to generally care about mpg's, but that seems pretty sad. My 6.2L averaged 20.4 doing 80-90 mph up through the hills on I81 / I84 on my way back from South Carolina..

    18. I'm sure the 8 spd helped a lot on my trip back from SC, it barely breathes at speed. It's shaped like a fucking brick though, so aero isn't helping.

Both of my Titan's were around 12-13 in town with a 315hp 5.6L, the GM is a massive improvement in power and mpg.

I wonder if it's just down to higher strung, smaller motors having to work harder all the time. My wife's Acadia gets similar mileage to my Sierra, it's definitely too big of a vehicle for the anemic V6 GM puts in them.

How did you do on price? Is Honda willing to haggle a reasonable amount?

Honda doesn't do the sticker is meaningless game that the US trucks do. There is some room.

My case is unusual because I've dealt with the same folks for almost 20 years and will sit and talk motorcycles with the owner while the sales guy gets the paperwork together.

There are plenty of places on the internet where Honda dealers advertise OTD pricing and the kbb, truecar numbers are fairly good.

Re: My ***** is not large (new truck)

Just picked one up today. Little bit below invoice, and just about on the truecar number. I had a trade so that skewed things a little. Boch beat Chambers on price by $1,000 but were $2,400 short on the trade.

I got the RTL, which is right in the middle of the models. I didn't really need the electronics that come with the more expensive Ridgelines, especially since they're not very advanced.

How are you guys liking your Ridgelines now that you've had them for a while?

Keep looking for more stock in my local dealer lots, still just the two demo rides and that's it.... at both dealers.

Re: My ***** is not large (new truck)

I'm very happy with it. Hauled three full loads of mulch, sandwiched around a 350 mile trip to see my folks. Really comfortable at Pike speeds. Now, I'm never going to take this off road, which is really the only shortcoming I've heard about them, so that was never a concern.

Interestingly, one thing I like is the absence of a lot of tech. My BMW was over-the-top with unnecessary gadgets - this is plain and simple.
