I used a 7' 2x6 for 2 years with my dodge. It worked just fine. Didn't cost me a dime, either.

Home Depot's got a kit to turn a 2x10 into a loading ramp. I use it to put my bike into the shed. Costs about $15.00 .

Just a little tip to add to this advice, make sure you make 2 ramps, one for the bike to drive up on and one for you to walk up on. Oh and be sure with the ramp end kits that you have some sort of foam or rubber on the part that sets on the back of your truck, it'll help from sliding off and help prevent damage to your truck

But a lot cheaper. They do come with the rubber pads to keep it from slipping, and you can also buy the rubber treads for the rest of the ramp.
