Im not a hater at all. Like I said this thread had no continuity to it and as a CUSTOMS AGENT and IMPORTER myself I know all the ins and outs here. I don't professionally handle automotives myself but Ive gone over ever inch of the laws / details and have watched the imported car market very extensively in recent years

and to answer your initial question BaT maybe but they tend to very picky on who they pick. Forums or eBay are your best bet for traffic however this car isn't all that unique to begin with .... the market for that on the high side Id say maybe you'll get 11K

If you can get me a RNN14 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, I'm all ears...

There's a place down in Virginia that has brought a few in.

I'm not sure what the rnn14 designation is but I see gti-r often enough. I saw one just a few days ago for £5000 or about $7000. They seem to mostly be in that area give or take. I would say most need bodywork on the fenders and such at this point. super clean ones go for about double that but rarely come up for sale. mildly abused is about the best you will get.
    They look like fun cars.

A regular Pulsar is an N14 Pulsar, so RNN14 is the GTi-R version. It's not uncommon for guys to "convert" regular cars into GTi-Rs, which is.. not ideal.

I raced one in Australia way back in the day. Great car, but front-heavy (think "lead-tipped arrow") and pretty difficult to work on.

Haha, well I did have the El Camino for a reason! There are a couple of places in the U.S. that import Holden utes; they convert them to LHD using mostly factory Pontiac & GM parts. It's expensive, though, and you end up with a $65k car that drives and feels like a $35k car, because that's how much it was before you converted it.

Forget number9.................if there was a Holden Maloo, or other type of higher performance El Camino like vehicle, available for a reasonable price this Non-ozzie might be interested.

I cant think of anything that fits the bill. They are pretty anti truck here in the uk. Utes arent available for us import for many years. Remember, it needs to be at least 25 years old.

Left Hand Utes bring modern ones in and sell them, but they're.. expensive.

Haha. Those guys are skyrocketing in price. What i could buy a few years ago for a few grand are likr 5000 plus now. I think in another 3 or 4 years they will be 10k plus. All 2 stroke stuff here is on a sharp climb up.

Look up Vistec R Imports on Facebook. They posted one FS yesterday out of NY. Assuming NYC area since the guy has his business based out of Stamford, CT.

I tried to do a little research into him and seems like a fly by night operation. Fair amount of the cars I looked at that they move are higher mileage, repaints, etc...

Also I don't believe the 44,000km mileage (that's 27,000mi!) but that probably happened before they got their hands on it.

They have interesting inventory but have a really high mark up. Im curious if they make any sales at that level or just sit on the inventory.

Not sure on the IS-F sales, but you can apparently still get a new 2012 LFA, even with the limited numbers:

Who would have ever thought you could still find brand-new Lexus LFAs and possibly purchase one from a dealer? Surprisingly, Autoblog found just the thing when checking out Julyís sales numbers.

Even though the last LFA rolled off the line five years ago with only 500 ever being built, Toyota said it lists 12 examples as dealer inventory. Not only that, but a dealer sold one in July, and six more found homes over the last year. The LFA was an obscenely expensive car at $375,000 when it came out, but itís still shocking that some dealers havenít sold every last one of them.Of course, Toyota provided several explanations on why these cars continue to sit on dealer lots. After five years of not being sold, the vehicles might be seen as more of an investment or display car by the dealers. The asking price could be so high that nobody has ever been interested in dropping even crazier amounts of cash on Lexusí supercar, either.

Re: Where should i try and sell a unique car?

Get your marketing collateral together: ~20 great photos, vehicle description, history, details and its story.

Start with your personal network, clubs, forums, and other specific places your ideal/target buyer would be found.

If you don't stumble on an "easy" sale there, get it in front of as many eyes as possible. Not just one place - list everywhere you can: craigslist, Facebook classifieds, eBay, etc. Only accept emails and request buyer name, location, and phone number, if they can't provide ignore them because they didn't read the listing or are wasting your time.

Public sale/online flea markets like craigslist and Facebook are a huge pain in the ass because you're looking for the 0.001% of your audience who has money and is actually interested... the other 99.999% will make you want to commit seppuku. One must be a pebble and let the river of stupid flow past...
