On subject matter life is interesting. Working from home. My company had me labeled as non essential but still wanted me to report in to do physical tasks on equipment for maximum of 25% of my work day.

Then email went out that all essential staff will get $500 bonus for putting themselves at risk and coming in to help. I asked if I'm getting the bonus and they said no after it went up the chain of management trying to figure out if I'm an exception or not.

I said either pay and I'll do the work or don't pay but then I'm non essential and not coming in. So now I'm home until end of the month. I honestly would have rather been paid bonus.

Looks like I’m back into production on face shields again. A tree service posted in a Sunapee region FaceBook group that someone stole the face shield and respirator out of one of their trucks! What kind of rotten low-life steals a used respirator? Everything available locally is going to Dartmouth Hitchcock.

The next deer I whack, I'm pretty much just making ground & stew meat (except for the loin & straps, etc). Everyone else in the family isn't really into the cuts. And quite frankly, I could live off venison stew alone.

Back straps and tenderloins will stand on their own. Anything else, might typically be shoe leather.

The iron-taste is what makes it SO fuckin' good! A decent marinade will take help with that. Believe it or not, a soak in MILK or Half & Half overnight will REALLY knock that flavor down.

I love a decent venison steak fried in bacon fat. I normally like my beef a solid medium, but you can't do that with venison.
