I scored a set of audi wheels and need to get the centerbores enlarged from 55mm to 66.56mm and a minimum depth of 37mm

Have been looking for someone local but still waiting on some calls back. Would like to give someone here the business...

Speaking of dropping engines in, didn't VW drop a 911 engine in the mid-late 80's for a 215 kph transport van? I bet those engines are not cheap...

Maybe someone did for a build, there is an ungodly 600bhp or 800bhp twin turbo v8 vanagon in sweden somewhere.

Most everything is ungodly cool in Sweden...

So, van season is in full swing. I worked through some serious electrical gremlins this winter due to corrrosion in the trailer harness. Wow, did that wreak havoc. I also upgraded to a slick new fresh water pump after my old one wouldn't prime this spring. For 100 bucks, the new unit is a huge upgrade. It has a built in check valve and bypass. Simplified my setup, and works flawlessly with ZERO cycling over night etc.

But if it's not one thing, it's another. my custom stainless 25 gallon water tank seems to be leaking intermittently? WTF. How that can be I'm not sure, but I guess I have to pull it to look for cracks in the welds, etc.

Not sure about VW ever doing this. There is the famous "Race Taxi." race-taxi.ch.

Nice! Thats probably an 83 or 84 judging by the size of the handle on the slider.

Finally back from N.S. Cape Breton is epic other parts not so much.

Re: Wesfalia or Similar Conversion Van

After 55k Trouble free miles I swapped out my old ej22 for a new rebuilt unit since I had a stuck oil control ring in one of the cylinders and was starting to chug oil. After 3k on the new motor we were cruising down 89 in VT when I lost power and saw smoke. Hit my battery and fuel cutoffs and coasted down an off ramp. Electrical fire in engine bay, put it out fairly quickly thankfully both my extinguishers worked! Lost some of the harness and various plastic parts vital for the conversion. Luckily I already have someone who has a new harness and intake manifold all boxed up. Luckily my online store is now live so I am hoping to recoup the costs with print sales. Link below, certainly a bummer as this motor was running flawlessly and had more power then my previous one.

They are! Although you need to replace the rings if they have been sitting. I just through the first one in. Hell it worked fine for a super long time got me to Florida and the outer banks as well as Nova Scotia.

I think a 2.5 turbo would last much longer. And would be a trip.

I'd get two a small one to keep near the drivers seat and then a larger one to keep out back.

Sweet Kitt! What's the current availablilty of filtered veggie fuel like? I know a buddy of mine ran a veggie gast station for a while. Not sure what your plan is for getting the stuff.

The kit has a good pump/filter pre-aux tank, so we should be able to heat it on the road and pump/filter it right in. Pretty free in VT, and I suspect I should be able to run 1/2 our miles on veggie just on mom&pop joints alone.
