    Winnepisaukee area guys?

Anybody know if the lake is frozen up much yet? My family has a little summer cottage up there (sandwitched between 2 gargantuan monsters, don't get me started about overdevelopment) and I'm lookin forward to the snowmobiling /XC skiing season...

Was just up in Center Harbor/Moultonborough area this afternoon (North end). Ain't much snow on the ground either.
If they don't get the warm-up this weekend the temps may stay low enough to make some ice.

I'm about 5 miles south of Alton Bay, and the lake we live on (Locke Lake) has been frozen enough for the kids to be skating on for the last coupla weeks. We did have a bit of a thaw this last weekend, but it's frozen over again....

Moultonborough neck? I was just there. Extended family's got a place off Far Echo Road (.5mi past JoJo's). Good staging area for some great rides last Summer.

    Cheers,

I've seen a few snowmobile tracks out there too.

On the big lake, in some of the sheltered harbors I have seen a little activity, but not much, Alton Bay is froze out to the bandstand, then a large expanse of open water and a huge chunk of ice that the wind is blowing around that goes almost out to the broads, I suspect, if we have a couple calm days with no wind, the lake will freeze up quick.

Alton Bay is frozen over past Sandy Point. Other coves frozen also, but I haven't seen the first crazy out yet trying to cross the ice on a sled...but it won't be long.

    Randy,

What did you log in for miles in the past 12 months
What does the odo log now for miles?

    Winnepisaukee area guys?

Took a quick hike up to the top of Mt. Major this morning. Good thing I didn't bring the wife and kids...there was big-time ice up there. Ended up sliding down part of the ledge area on my freakin' ass when I slipped. Good thing there were no video cameras around.
The weather was nice and I did get a good look at Winnipesaukee. The lake is still mostly ice-free. Alton bay is frozen over, and it appears that the inner part of Moultonborough bay is frozen, but most everything is still open.
Figured I might see RandyO driving around the area, but didn't see any scooters out.
