Would you put your street bike on that? That would be handy for going to the races, as long as my bike didn't fall off.
If I had a street bike that weighed less than my VFR, and a hitch rated for more weight than the one on my wrangler, then I would put a streetbike on it. The tongue weight for the hitch is the limiting factor. I think the tongue limit for my class III is 350lbs. Got to count the 90lbs or so for the carrier too.Originally Posted by burnham
I used it for my Husky 610 and my 450. The first thing I did was take the bike I like least, put it on the carrier, and rip around the backyard like a complete asshole trying to get it to fall off, get loose, or do something wrong. It passed that test so I went on to use it. With a bike strapped down, it stayed put and never contacted the spare tire on the jeep.
I sold one to Doc that I bought from someone here. I bought it, used it and sold it for the same price I bought it for.
I used it to move my SV to Tennessee with a full load of tools in the back of the truck. Kind of freaky to watch the bike swaying and floating out there but no issues.
Want to know how it is working out? Doc?
If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride would do.

I have a Joe Hauler (very similar) and it's hauled a 04' R6, 03' Z1000 and a CBR 929rr. Haven't lost a bike yet, but my old explorer is scary on the highway with it.
