Jim, I meant to sent you or Degsy a PM previously. But here we go: Since I know you are a gixxer guy, I was wondering what mods you would recommend to a GSXR trackbike. A guy in the Sao Paulo area is trying to sell me one of two bikes an 07 GSXR750 or an 08 GSXR1000. Both are stock, salvages, and both are straight. I'd pick one up to run at Interlagos....which from what I understand is more suitable for 1000s.
I'd probably like to stay with a lighter bike, but I was wondering given the power to weight ratios should I go with the 750 or 1000? And, as stated above, what mods do you recommend? Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks a bunch.
go with the 750 and outrun all the 1000s making them look foolish

Eddie, go with the 1000. Park it in in every corner, and rocket down every straight!!! LOL. Really though, the 1000 is a formidable track weapon on big flowing tracks. Tight tracks like NH are tough for obvious reasons, but elsewhere you'll appreciate the grunt.
I feel like the only guy that advocates liter bikes!
750 all around best sport bike, tons of power and light, it will out corner any 1000, even on big tracks 750 has more than enough. Riding a 1000 Is a different kind of ride

Hmmm... built motor. Could be a winner. I wonder if it will do sub 21s at Loudon.
