    1972 240Z Datsun Turbo Project

Looking to offload my project, as college and expensive project cars don't really go hand in hand. Have about $8000 into the car as it stands today and asking for nearly half that at $4500. Here is the build info:

    Engine:
    F54 block - baked/blasted/jet washed
    - magnafluxed - passed
    - re-sized cylinders: 3.426 (.040 over)
    - drilled/removed oil galley plugs
    - R&R pressure bypass

    Crankshaft - checked/radius/micropolished
    - magnafluxed - passed

    P90 head - resurfaced : .006
    - drilled/tapped oil galley plugs
    - resurfaced valves and seats
    - new inner/outer valve springs
    - the camshaft was checked & micropolished, but they did not include it in the invoice, for whatever reason.

    Rods - mag'd - passed
    - rods & pistons R&R'd

    ARP main and head studs

    MSA manifold studs kit

    Cloyes timing chain kit

Entire rotating assembly was balanced and jet washed. I have all receipts and records of work done, including the balance sheets and invoices. I just finished the valve lash adjustments today

    I also have:

    - MS2 V3.57 w/ custom made wiring harness completely labelled. EDIS set-up w/ trigger wheel etc.
    - Rebuilt T5 transmission w/ 0 miles
    - MSA downpipe w/ o2 bung
    - NPR GIANT front mount intercooler
    - N42 Intake manifold
    - Turbo ex. manifold
    - Rebuilt stock turbo
    - Brand New 240sx TPS ($55)
    - Greddy type-S blow-off valve
    - Turbo Distributor
    - 440cc Injectors
    - nice custom al. fuel rail

    Shell:

1972 rust-free shell. Currently disassembled; entire engine bay and front wheel wells are coated in POR-15. All interior trim, uncracked dash, etc is included. Bill of sale only, no title

Would be open to trades for an older cafe bike or a newer street bike, or trades plus cash. Really open to anything, I just hate letting the car sit in my garage as it has been the past couple years. Please email me as I rarely check this forum.

    Thanks-
    Pat

Really? You've been a member since August 2010 and have made 4 posts. All 4 were in regards to something you're selling. I'd think if you were trying so damned hard 'to get back into the bike scene', you'd put a bit more effort into actually being even seemingly productive around here. It would seem almost 2-1/2 years would be sufficient time 'to get back into the bike scene'...

    Lemme guess: technology teacher?

I do not currently have a bike, and when I did, I did not need help from the forum about it; Hence the limited time I spend on this forum. So let me get this straight, because I don't have 1,121,500 posts on a motorcycle forum I must be a complete dumbass? I'm sorry that I believe posts should only be made when asking a question, or providing reliable information to someone's questions: of which I only have of older Kawi 600's (a rare topic). You're basically preaching that you have more respect for someone who spams useless posts, or someone who sits on the forum all day.

I've never seen a more hardo administrator on a forum in my life.

by the way - How did you know i was a technology teacher?!?!

No. I called you an ass, not 'a complete dumbass'. And I called you that because up until now, the ONLY posts you've EVER made were when you were selling something...

Then you're going against your own beliefs. Until now, the only posts you made were to enhance the chances of selling something...

El wrongo, weenie. You're probably the only knucklhead that drew that conclusion (any other knuckleheads that drew that same conclusion may chime in). But I have ZERO respect for someone that's been on a forum for 2-1/2 years and has ONLY posted to SELL shit...

I'm sure just about everyone here will attest to just how stupid a statement that is...

Since stoneman's dumping a trashtruck all over this thread, I'm sure he won't mind me asking why people have to email for pics? Wouldn't it be a better sales pitch to show the car instead of making people work for it? Oh and I'm not interested in buying, but the only reason I came in here was to see pics of it.

And BTW, you need to list a price PER FOR SALE RULES. If you don't, this thread gets deleted, same as any other member.

See? I can be a dickhole too!

Agreed ^. I just hate photobucket, I find gmail to be easier for an actual serious buyer. But here is the only pic I currently have uploaded online, will get more when I have time after work one night:

Sorry bud, I'll be sure to go home tonight and put on the distributor cap/water pump pulley and post a new picture of the fully assembled motor just for you.
