    1977 Yamaha XS 750 Triple

    Craigslist ad...

    1977 Yamaha XS 750 Triple

    1977 Yamaha XS 750

Shaft drive 750 triple, sweet, stable road burner. 11,487 Miles...

Nice original condition complete with the usual wear and patina on the entire motorcycle, light red chrome here and there, oxidized aluminum, worn paint all over although the tank looks great. Just the fact that the side over are intact is amazing. I hesitate to shine or polish even one part of the 750 because I would have to go over the entire thing... lol

I have gone through and cleaned the carbs completely, set the float heights, new primary jets, atomizers and needles. This thing touches right off and settles into a perfect idle, revs freely and just runs great.

New Mac Three to One exhaust in black with new gasket and fasteners. The 750 Triple sounds just awesome with that system, what a growl.

The original exhaust was missing the mufflers when it came to me but the stock head pipes are included if anyone would want to put the stock exhaust back on it.

Good tires, brakes are spot on, handles great. The cast wheels are in great condition although could stand to be shined up, I think they go well with the overall look and I would leave them alone but that's just me...

The front fender had been shortened at some point but it actually does not look too bad.

Everything works, lights, directional indicators etc...

Compare the Yamaha to the mid-seventies Triumph Trident only this has shaft drive and a heck of a lot less expensive.

Very cool ride, restore to the nines or ride it the way it is.

    $1400.00

Supplied with a Bill of Sale from me only as Maine does not require a title on vehicles older than twenty (20) years nor will the state issue one.

    Text anytime or email.

    2 zero 7 - three 5 0 - zero three 8 six

    Thanks,
    Rob

Re: 1977 Yamaha XS 750 Triple

Nice bike. I took one cross country back in the early 80's. The shaft drive was nice as I didn't have to worry about chain maintenance for the trip. IIRC it averaged around 50mpg. Only thing that ever got repaired was the petcock (under recall). The triple motor was nearly perfect for its time.
It was one of my favorite bikes to ride.
    GLWS.
