I have finally convinced my wife to sell her first bike. It has not been ridden since 2017 and is not currently running, but it was running when parked. I believe it will run with a battery, carb work, and oil change. I would also recommend changing all other fluids and tires. My wife bought it from a guy who was doing a cafe/rat bike project and had decided to move on. It always ran well for her and was a good first bike, plus it looks kind of cool. We have a box full of spare parts (including a second set of carbs), an extra seat (doesn’t go with look of the bike, but the pan could be used for a custom seat), some crash bars that are not installed and don’t really look like they go with the bike in its current state. The bike had a slow oil leak from the time we bought it. I believe the head gasket was fine, but some of the other gaskets might be replaced to fix the seep, or it could probably be fixed with high temperature silicone (I fixed a gasket leak on an old KZ750 like that once and it worked remarkably well). Or just top the oil up once in a while and park it on cardboard, like my wife did. My wife always thought she would get it running again, but at this point we rarely get to ride our main bikes and neither of us have interest in getting this one running and I want the space in my garage back. Let me know if you’ve got any questions, I may or may not be able to answer them.
