1990 Honda VFR750 (RC36)

Bike ran and rode until the battery gave up. Very smooth and comfortable with a gear driven cam set up V4.
Previous owner did some mods: Supertrapp Exhaust, stainless brake lines and a very comfortable and rare Corbin seat. This is the first year of the single sided swing arm. Very cool looking.
The downside to this bike is it needs paint work. Someone went to town with red spray paint on a couple of the fairings.

$1100, not going any lower.

It also has the newer rear directional mod....they sound nice with an aftermarket header....

That sure does look like my old vfr. Its got the Givi windshield, supertrapp exhaust, corbin seat and I did the direction mod on it when I lived in Colorado. That bike has been to some very cool places. If it is my old bike then it's got goldvalves and progressive springs in the forks. When I sold it around 2002/2003 I think it had a fox shock and TBR headers and silencer, but the supertrapp sounded much nicer. You can tell if it's the bike by looking at where the supertrapp mounts to the collector. There's a TIG weld an inch or two up from the mount to slightly change the angle and get the exhaust a little closer to the bike.

I can't find any pics of a Fox TC for this bike. The shock on it has a blue collar where the spring sits. Fox? I dunno

Nice bike, I like the cleanliness/simplicity of aesthetics of the older Honda sport bikes. I have always found the newer ones too squiggly and unclean. GLWS.

That I do not know. If not it will need one in the future, both my CBR600F2 and CBR900RR needed them replaced. I used late GSXR ones.

That was the guy I bought it from. It's too much of a "touring" bike for my liking. (I have 3 oil cooled GSXRs in comparison)

That VFR is nice size sport tourer and that bike has got lots of experience. It's from NE to Telluride, CO and Montana before the daytime speed limit was imposed. Here's a picture, from western CO. Can you tell I'm missing the bike!

No, I didn't go to town with a can of spray paint, but I did replace some left side bodywork after going wide and off the track in four during a Penguin school.

How is a VFR750 at NHMS?

The VFR is fine for learning to ride at the track, I was considering racing it till I realized I could only run it in heavyweight classes. Now that I think about it that would be an appropriately named class. That's when I sold it and got an SV650 for the track. But the VFR is great for an beginner / Intermediate track day bike.
