I have decided to buy a newer motorcycle so I was wondering if any one was interested in buying a red and black 1991 CBR1000f with 40k on the clock. First the positives. This is my daily driver to the hospital on longwood everyday and is mechanically sound. Starts everytime, never overheats, still gets about 30mpg in stop and go traffic (about 43MPG on the highway), new BT020 tires (back and front) this spring, still very fast and comfortable, dead solid on the highway.
Changed the clutch at 24K and had a new water pump put in at 32K, new rear shock at 34K (all done at GBM), changed the oil religiously every 2K (honda oil and filter always).
Negatives, Scratches from a drop at a stop sign 7yrs ago when I first got the bike (check the pics), seat needs to be replaced badly (this keeps the theft down on Longwood) as it is ripped. It will need new sprockets and chain by the end of this year (or next spring) and may need a new battery (I usually have to replace every 2yrs or so).
Its been a good bike to me.
