Yeah, it's sad. I just don't ride it enough. Best woods bike around. I bought this completely frame-off restored KDX from Mike Drescher (RIP) a couple years ago. I rode it a good bit the first year but after that just haven't been able to.
Fully restored 1998 Kawasaki KDX 200 in excellent condition. FMF pipe/silencer, aluminum radiator protector. New parts include: New IRC tires, R/L aluminum radiator, handlebars, grips/clutch lever assembly, seat cover, fork boots, KDX graphics, restoration bolt kit & misc springs/fittings. Rear Brake caliper rebuilt, frame, swingarm, pedals/pegs, exhaust pipe stripped/sandblasted and professionally repainted with 2K Ceramic Epoxy clear coat & heat paint. Engine in excellent condition with 190 psi compression. Some spares like stock radiator, foam air filter, tool kit and misc parts.
Only thing I did was add a set of Cycra handguards. I'll also give you some 2 stroke oil, gas can, measuring thing, etc that I have kicking around too.
$1,650 firm. Yes, there are complete shitpieces of these on craigslist for a few hundred bucks less. If that's what you want, go ahead and buy that. LOL.

Lotsa tire kickers and droolers... who's got cash? LOL. I am going to be out at my garage cleaning the SV carbs on Saturday if that works for anyone to come buy it.
No, just the certificate that comes with the bike. These are titleable / streetable with some work depending on your state, is my understanding. Google around. I didn't bother to do it, though.
The 200 motor is well known as better suited for a woods bike. More low end grunt and still good peak power. 220 is peakier / narrower pipe. Only thing some people do to these is put on a KX front end to get more adjustable inverted forks.

Yes, edited above. No street title. You can get one with a bit of work, like most bikes. The fact that the bike is under 300cc and also old might make it easier. I did some googling on this a while back and plenty of people have done it. Quick google result from thumpertalk:
I've also plated a lot of bikes by registering them in VT. Vermont is non title for motorcycles under 300cc or vehicles over 15 years old. So, I have plated lots of bikes with a bill of sale. Incredibly, I have done this using my own MA address on the forms. Once the motorcycle has been plated in VT for six months I generally retitle them in MA. I do this mostly with vintage bikes but there is no reason not to do it with a dirt bike.
Vermont doesn't require insurance to get the title, but I think it does if you intend to ride it on the road. MA certainty does. I always get it from Progressive. It just takes a few minutes on the phone. For this you will need to use a Vermont address. I generally use my sister in laws address.
Overall, my pattern is to buy bikes in the late fall when they're cheap and register them straight away in Vermont. I use the winter to address anything that needs to be fixed, like leaking fork seals or whatever. When riding weather comes I either insure the bike or title and register it in MA. If you wait six months you don't have to pay the sales tax again in MA. So, that November purchase would be ready to transfer into MA come May.
I've done this half a dozen times. Many of my friends have done it as well.

As a 200 and 220 owner (and having briefly ridden this bike) I would say the opposite is true. 220 was designed with a smaller carb and different porting to move power down low. 200 will run away a little in a drag race on top, but both are great motors.
Plus Gino already had a sweet 220 that I did not manage to buy.
This is a super deal, somebody buy it so I don't have to...
99 + 02 SV650 ex-race - 91 FJ1200 street - 03 KDX220R woods - 12 WR450F motard/ice
Maybe I'm mixed up then. Either way, I'd come to an almost complete stop in rocks/roots in second gear on a hill and still be able to brap right out while others on more modern bikes I was riding with had trouble.
Point being, someone should buy this.
