That was not the offer, you told me the price that you would take the bike (that I won't post here) at which I said I would pay as soon as I sold the RM. After the RM sold I texted you back and you told me you decided you wanted asking. That's all, not trying to cause a commotion just pointing it out.

Wow....just wow. This bike is priced in the EX500 range and people are still finding a way to squabble?

Justin - Demand nothing less than your asking price. You know this bike is well worth it.

    Re: 1999 R6 Trackbike with Goodies - $1,800

How about one of you NESR brokedick losers shows up at Justin's house with $1800 and takes the bike home???? Seriously.

We all know if the asking price was $2100 and you offered him 1800 and he accepted, we would all hear how happy you were about your new bike and the great deal you got on it, you could even post up on NESR about how you're such a great bargainer so all the other keyboard racers could post up and say "congrats" and "nice score!"

But why don't you just buy it? Dude posts up a bike for a steal and no one wants to pay the price... it's ok, we won't think you're less of a man for paying the $1800 he's asking for it...

Justin, FYI next time you need to consider the douchiness of people. It's just like craigslist... you have to put in a big cushion in your asking price for the douchey buyer who needs to pump up his pride by bargaining you down.

You shouldn't accept one penny less than $1800 for this bike in my opinion.

HEY RETARDS: the shock and forks alone are over 1800 bucks. Bunch of cheap fucks!

Hell...you should just rent out the bike for $300 a track day. It would take 6 track days to get $1,800 and you'll still have the bike!

btw...maybe you'll have this for next season when I can get back on the track

    Re: 1999 R6 Trackbike with Goodies - $1,800

If the bike was a steal $1,800 all day then it would have sold for $1,800 weeks ago when he posted it up. It's not about haggling on the price, it's about what the bike is worth to the buyer vs the seller.

I was only upset because I asked him what he would take for it, he told me, and then changed his mind. It's no big deal though, his bike his choice. I really hope he sells it, it's a nice bike.

Understood - we had a conversation on Day 1 +/- of the for sale post. I was unsure of the market conditions given the time of season and economy, and just wanted to let her go to someone in need. You asked lowest price, I said $100-200 off max. You mentioned needing to sell your db, but you know how that could go (from my perspective).

Since then I recalled the aftermarket suspension put into it, AND a set of lightly used rains that I'm letting go too. I figured adding those components to the listing, with the feedback, is worth the $200.

Anyway, I just want the bike to go to someone who will enjoy it - everyone has their price as a buyer and seller - the right person will come along and take it, that I'm confident about. No worries - if it goes much longer, my WIFE will finally convince me NOT to sell. "It's [the track] been such a part of our life" as she says. That's not all bad either

And this sub-market is apparently not a good representation of the market, because it's full of brokedick keyboard commandos

No, I guarantee if the bike was posted up for 2200 and someone offered him 1800 and he accepted, it would have sold weeks ago.The issue is with people's stigma against paying the asking price for something.

It's like when you go to the car dealer all you care about is getting them to lower the price, not knowing what their actual cost is. That's why car companies started making up all those "invoice pricing" offers to make you feel like you're really fucking them over on the vehicle (and then they pump the profit back in somewhere else, either via factory kickbacks or completely raping you on the financing or the warranty cost)

Bottom line, some brokedick should buy this thing.

Ditto on paying asking price. It was priced aggressively, what can I say?

I get "interest" emails with "what is your bottom line acceptance price".
Come see the bike first - see what she's all about - spin her up the street - see all that comes with her - then decide. People are trying to buy over the internet - I don't quite get it frankly. If it's in striking distance budgetwise, have a look. Meet the owner, meet the bike - you'll like, I promise

Well if this thread didn't come full circle.
KB1 and I finally met - buyer gets to know seller and the bike, Seller gets to know buyer, and deals get done. The way it should be.

Great meeting you KB - enjoy the bike and don't hesitate to call with any questions. My hearts broken to have let her go, officially closing the door on the sport, but another door opens for a great guy.

    Enjoy!

Justin - I agree 100% - the minute I saw the bike I knew I wanted it, I appreciate the patience and helping set me up 100% for my trackdays. I will take good care of her for you, and if you ever want to take her for a spin around the track again let me know! Lets get out for a dirty ride when I pick up another 125.

But now -- Boston Moto track weekend here I come!
