Bike has been gone through completely by SV expert Miles Hubert of MotoFab. Stock engine is tuned up and ready to go-great compression, valves adjusted, and fresh oil. She is ready to race, no BS. Proper coolant catch/oil overflow have been installed, such as an engine oil catch, and the removal of the stock coolant reservoir.
New this Spring/Summer: Penske, Chain & Sprockets, Rearsets, and Pod Filters. Suspension set-up and sag set for 180lbs rider.
Body work was professionally repaired by Marks Auto (local body shop) except the tail piece. Which needs only needs to be scuffed up prior to paint. Upper and lower are painted primer black, front fender is red, tank is yellow with some battle scars.
Story:
Bought from Chad Falcone (Hardcore) in March of this year with the understanding that the bike was ready to race, which it was not.
It's an 85% brand new bike, complies with LRRS rulings/tech, and is much safer and reliable to ride.
Basically rebuilt the bike aside from a fork rebuild.
Initially bike was torn down, cleaned, and the body work was repaired and painted. Rear-sets and shock were installed, along with some small things here and there to make the bike safe.
After 8 laps at Penguin School in April, the motor dropped a valve in Hot Pit Lane. We again tore the bike down, installed a solid, reliable engine with apprx. 12k miles on it and 4 TD's. Miles tuned the engine after cleaning, syncing, and shimming the carbs to run strong with the jet kit and pod filters.
Along with the engine install, the bike was cleaned from the inside out, and was properly prepped for racing (fluid catches, safety wire, repaired exhaust bracket, rear brake res removed and replaced with a single 4" hose, etc.)
The only thing we did not get a chance to take care of was fixing/painting the tank, and rebuilding the forks. The forks are fine, no worries, no issues, handle very well. Just something I wanted to do over the winter.
I ran this at Tony's in July after waiting all summer to get her back on the Track. She ran strong and hard, handled great, tires were awesome. I was very happy! It was a lot of work from April to July.
Reason I am selling is because I am possibly moving to Tucson and will need some relocation money.
Looking for $2800 OBO. PLEASE make me an offer. If you want a great track bike, or would like to get into racing, this is a good place to start. Would like to have this out of the garage this Fall. Very motivated to sell prior to November 1.
Bike is located at the MotoFab garage in Bristol Vt. Ride up and take a look!
