    2000 4runner SR5 with 176,000 miles

A good buddy of mine is selling his rig. He's a stand up dude and knows how to take care of his stuff. Located in Rochester, NH.

    2000 4runner SR5 with 176,000 miles. Very reliable.

Not perfect but better than 90% out there.
EXCELLENT WINTER VEHICLE 4X4 WORKS GREAT.

Little to no Rust. Outer rockers we're changed with a donor vehicle. (They don't make replacements)

Frame is in great shape and I fluid filmed the inside and outside last fall.

17" tundra wheels with ATX tires 25% tread
    Will take sticker no problem.

In the past 2 years I have put in-
-new struts and coil springs with 2" leveling kit.
    -alignment
    - new HD rear shocks
    - brakes all around
    - cat, muffler and tail pipe
    - o2 sensor (has cheater now so shouldn't ever go bad)

Needs one abs sensor for abs to work. I don't like abs so I never fixed it. Only selling cause I got a company truck.

    $4000 OBO

Based on your Xterra thread, this is perfect for ya really. I hadn't even thought of that.

In today’s market this would sell in a nanosecond, probably for more.

    It’s only random to you!

Always wake up around 4am and lately been grokking Gen 3 4Runners after looking at a number of them and buying one.

Gen 3 was 1998-2002 I think. Focused on ‘01 and ‘02. Looked at a bunch of them. Locally prices ranged from $3,500 to $14,000(!).

Making headway. This car - oh, wait, 4Runner owners call them rigs - was very clean but wanted to do my usual pre-winter rust assault.

First discovery: spare tire had no valve stem, and had a date code of 4400! So despite still having the nubs on it’s exactly 21 years old.

Two of the 12mm bolts holding the fuel tank skid plate broke off - common. Thing is pretty rusty but after wire brushing, rust neutralizer and paint should be fine.

No wonder these things weigh just under two tons….

Cool. I’ll be following any progress you post. I’m interested in these as an alternative to the Jeeps that are so common. I need a desert ‘rig’, and the vintage 4runner has my interest..
