I picked this up early this year to use as an instructor/ control rider bike at Trackdays with LAPS. I was thinking I might rent it out at trackdays as well. Now I think I might need to sell it. The bike has never seen the track (from what I know) but the PO had planned to stunt it (although I don't know to what extent is was actually stunted) It runs great and I don't see any bad crash damage.
I was thinking I'd list it for $2500 on Craigslist and try to get as close to $2300 as I can. So NESR Price would be $2300. It has a clean title but needs lights/blinkers to be street legal. (although I have a taillight that will work)
It's a 2000 ZX6R, It has Vortex rearsets, I don't recall the exact mileage but I think it is under 20k. KBB Trade in is $1725, AVG Retail is $2565 NADA has Low Retail at $2365 and High at $3043
I think $2300 is fair.
List of stuff I have bought:
Battery
New Michelin Pilot Power Race tires. (soft compound)
Two Brothers Pipe (might need a jet kit, I have the stock pipe)
Race Bodywork with windscreen (In the midst of mounting)
Race fairing stay (for a 98, needed some tweaking)
Gauges (missing the warning light covers but works)
New Chain and Sprockets
New Brake pads front and rear
Galfer steel braided front lines
Oil and Filter
Frame sliders (although I would reccomend a better set)
Spare rear rim
Spare race tail
NRC Race Alternator cover
Ram Air snorkle tubes
Extra set of switch gear
It also has some spare old street fairings and the street tail with passenger seat.
I hope to run it on Tuesday during the BOMO trackday, at least for a shake down, then I will decide if I am gonna sell it. I am leaning toward selling though.
Pics to come.
Tell me what you think. (Yes you can tell me if you think the price is too high or too low)
Any interested parties?
