Replaced cctl at ~10k miles.

Yeah those CBRs are pretty much bulletproof and nearly indestructable. It might be the same guy you're talking about, but there's a guy on sportbikes.net who is over 300K on his 2004 model now. He goes by "thirdgenlxi" or something close to that.

I had an older one, an '89 600F1 "Hurricane" some years ago, and I named it Rasputin because it just would not die. It was stolen and stripped and recovered, backed into and knocked over by cars at least 6 times while I had it, hit in traffic by cars 3 times -- it kept getting uglier, but kept running fine. It had about 80K on it when I gave it a friend who needed transportation 6 or 7 years ago.

Love this bike, still looks great. It's my opinion, that anyone looking for a used CBR600RR, R6, ZX-6R, ZZR600, or GSX-R600 would be much better suited with an F4i.

That was my motive in getting the f4i....still looks modern, bulletproof, and just slightly more comfortable for long rides.

This is going to be sold to a local bike dealer within 2 weeks if there aren't any more bites. Have had about 5 tire kickers the past 3 weeks and not looking for any more. Unless you are ready to buy I wont be entertaining any more tire kickers. Everyone who has seen the bike would attest its everything I noted above.

That's actually a surprisingly good offer from a dealer. Of course, they're going to sell it for $4800...

Last summer, there was a guy parked next to me at my gym, with a really mint looking red/black CBR 954. I told him it looked nice and I always liked the looks of those bikes, he says "Thanks, I just picked it up yesterday, $5500 from such-and-such dealer! They got some great deals there, I saw this and scooped it up!"

Luckily I think I had buckled my helmet by then to prevent my jaw from hitting the pavement.
