I am selling my 2002 Honda CRF450R (cant get it to run) because i have no more motivation for it and need money to put towards my RC51. It has pretty much new tires, new front sprocket and chain, new hand levers.
Some back story to it. I bought it about 2 years ago on a cold night, it wouldnt kickstart but would bump start and me not knowing dirtbikes to well thought that was normal and the seller told me it was. Brought it home and waited til the next morning to try and kickstart it when it was warmer and still wouldnt kick start. so i bumpe started it and once it was warmed i could shut it off and it would then kick start. read up on the bike online and figured out the valve specs were probably off, so with intention of making it a street supermoto i bought all stainless steel kibble white valves and other parts for the top end. Took the head off and decided to check the piston and cylinder and those are both in good condition. and then after some time i finally put the new parts in and i still had no luck of starting it the other day. This could probably be an easy fix for somebody who wants to put the time in.
I put new kibble white valve kit in. only piece of the kit that was not installed was the valve guides. we shimmed it to specifications and i could not start it. I dont know if i just dont know how to start a 450 correctly. i did not check spark because i just dont care any more i want it gone. I am including Hot cams Shim kit, triangle stand, shop manual. i have the stock springs still, the kibblewhite valve guides, and possibly the stock valves if i can find them but they are most likely gone.
