    `93 Ducati 750SS/900CR Mongrel

I picked up this mongreal towards the end of last year for a two-up bike for the wife and I...she says she won't ride on it! lol

It's a `93 750SS chassis with a `98 900CR engine and front end. Corbin seat and some dual headlight conversion kit that I forget who made it. Comes sporting a wonderfully craptastic flat black paint job (why do people do this shit?).
Bike is a great runner though, just needs a rear caliper. Tank on the bike was creamed somewhere down the line, so I bought a tank in great shape with no rust inside that goes with the bike. Also has a Sharkskin lower on it. I also have the rear seat cover dealio thingy for it.

It's just too Mad Max for my herd, but think of all the Goth chicks you will get with this machine!
    $2,000

I think that is a Powerbronze dual headlight kit.

Thanks, Doc...that was the name the PO told me. I remember reading they were like $1,200 for the conversion kit which is rediculous as it makes an already ugly bike even more ugly.

This is a new sales technique I'm not familiar with.

    Honesty?

Good for the seller. He scored some points in my book.

I can vouch for Mike. He's an honest dude. His bike is almost as ugly as he is, and probably smells better.

Edit: Though I like the styling of those bikes, other than that horrendous headlight. Yuck.

Well, maybe with a shorter windshield it would improve the overall look. I might have a buyer, I'll let you know.

Bump with price drop. $2,000 takes it.

An RC51 you say??? Have you posted any pics anywhere? I want to see?
Is this a project for yourself or ready to ride as is?
BTW your wife will not want to ride 2 up on an RC51.... good luck after the first ride to get her back on. A few ex's I had HATED riding two up on mine. Very uncomfortable for both the rider and passenger..

Yeah I'm digging it from a Mad Max perspective! I'm assuming 16k is on the bike, what kinda mileage on the 900 engine? You got pics of the other side as well as the tail?

    Re: `93 Ducati 750SS/900CR Mongrel

I have been riding the bike all summer and it's never had an issue. The engine has aprox. 9000 miles on it and runs strong, doesn't smoke and always starts right up. I bought the bike last fall and I am the third owner of the bike. The original owner blew up the original motor, bought a wrecked 9000C.R (hit in the rear) and swapped everything over to the 750 chassis. The second owner was a youg kid who did the mad max paint scheme to it.

Halfsquid, I'm using the funds from the sale of this bike to pick up a VFR800 that my buddy wants to sell for a two up bike for the wifey.

I have had a few PM's asking about it so I will add, the bike does have a clear MA. Title.

I will trade you a 1989 Polaris Indy 500 for it. Thing runs mint and has a brand new track

Not interested in any trades. The only reason I am selling tbike is to pick up a SUV my neighbor has for sale.
