    2003 RC51 RVT1000R SP2

    2003 Honda RC51 RVT 1000R SP2
I have owned this bike since 2007 (16 years) and got it with 16,500 miles. It has the following mods:

-RARE HRC 1/6 turn throttle tube
    -M4 Pipes
-Power Commander 3 - I will include the cable and maps to go with it.
    -Flapper mod
    -Soft Rev Mod
    -Geared at -1 +3
    -520 Chain mod
    -CRG Levers
    -Sato Rearsets
    -Speedo Healer
-Passenger seat as well as cowl/delete
    -Rear hugger fender
    -Scotts steering damper
    -Tinted Puig windshield
    -K&N air filters
    -Carbon fiber radiator vents
    -LED undertail
    -EarthX lithium battery
-Carbon fiber flapper blockout panel and swingarm guard

Maintenance items I can think of:
    -Front Fork seals 20,000
    -Both coils/plug wires replaced 22,000
-CDI upgraded with new resistors and capacitors 27,000
    -Chain swingarm pad 33,000
    -Regulator and Stator replaced 35,000

Will include whatever spare parts I have lying around.

The bike had been low sided when I bought it and I low sided it at NHMS at 40 mph in turn 2A in a light rain, which is when I did the Sato rear sets and CRG levers.

This is a 20 year old bike that I have ridden a ton, the plastics aren't great. One side panel is rashed, the front cowl has 2 cracks in it, the rear cowl has 2 cracks in it. Front fender is fine. It does look great from 10' and has a shine to it.

Mechanically, the bike runs great, I do 3k mile oil changes with Honda oil and filters. The chain and sprockets are fairly new, front tire isn't bad, rear tire will pass inspection but will need to be replaced this season.

The RC51 is a very special bike, fairly rare, and this one has been a part of my family for a long time now. The M4 pipes on this bike sound incredible. My most viewed video on youtube is simply a 23 second clip of a few revs:

If you want a low mile show bike to park and look at, this isn't for you. If you are looking for a bike to ride and enjoy, and get goosebumps when you hear that wonderful V-Twin sound through those M4 high mounts, come check it out, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Has been kept in a garage the entire time I have owned it. Hate to see it go and I am sure I will regret selling it when it is gone.

    $SOLD

    EDIT: PENDING SALE????

    EDIT2: SOLD

    Added now, $6k?

    I see one 02 rc51 with 20k miles for $13.5k, an 01 rc51 for $7,500, there's a 2000 VFR800 with 50k miles for $5k, a 2002 VFR800 with 38k miles for $4k on cycle trader. Tough to know what to ask for it.

    IDK, maybe I'm too low.

So it looks like the RC8 is going to happen, cool

I'm in for $6k, would like to take a look at it but I don't expect any deal breakers. Assume it has a clean title and current registration?

Seriously? Kinda funny the guy who referred me to the RC8R would buy my bike.

Clean title and current reg. I think I was pretty honest in the ad.

I am scheduled to drive down to MA tomorrow around 1 and pick it up, have the bank check all written out.

Oh crap - flying back into Boston about 8pm-ish Saturday, thinking you'll probably be gone by then. And family stuff Sunday (happy Greek Easter everyone).

Does the following weekend work? Could do bank check or cash or whatever you like, lmk
