THE GOOD:
I have a clean well maintained second owner 2003 Passat GLX Wagon that needs to find a new home. She had a full timing belt service done less than 2k miles ago at my local VW dealership (Noyes VW in Keene NH). She's green with the tan leather interior.
The following items were done at the service:
Thermostat
TB Tension
Timing Belt
Coolant/Heater Core Flush
Serpentine Belt
Water Pump
I also had the pollen filter housing sealed up with silicon sealant along with the sunroof drain nipples being removed (cut off the ends) per the service bulletin.
She has a brand new still in the box Evolutionize.net aluminum skidplate ready to be installed. I was going to put it in when I do my next oil change. The battery was replaced in March.
The headlights aren't fogged/sandblasted which seems to be common on these.
She has run synthetic its entire life. I know the original owner personally.
She also has a new pollen air filter and engine air filter.
New wiper blades front and back.
Rear tires are new Yokohama's, fronts are about 40% life.
Brakes are smooth, never had any ABS lights or any failures of any kind.
She starts, runs and drives mint. You would not be able to tell this car has 100,840 miles on her without seeing the odometer. Clutch is strong (previous owner only did highway), rides smooth as glass at 80mph, no creaking/moaning/clunking in the front end.
AC blows cold, heat blows hot. Sunroof works well, tracks are well lubed and clean. All electronics function as they should, including programmable electric seats and heated seats/mirrors.
It comes with the original floormats and the VW brand rubber all weather floormats. Also comes with the retractable storage compartment cover thing. Spare is full size and has never been used.
Interior is clean with minimal wear for the milage.
THE BAD:
Little bit of wear on the shifter boot.
1" tear in the front seat leather coming from the seat programming buttons straight up but towards the back. The dealership did a recall on the power seat switches and put the tear in. No apoligy, no explanation, nothing, even when I brought it to their attention. Gee, thanks guys. My car WAS mint....
Rear windsheild sprayer nozzle broke off. You know, that little thing the size of a kernel of corn. I have a $50 VW certificate you can have to get a new one. Can be redeemed at any VW dealership.
Small bend in the edge of the rear hatch. About 3" long, is bent in about 1/2". Not a big deal, but I'd rather say everything than have someone find out in person after driving to come see it.
PICTURES(please excuse me, it's been raining in MA 21 of the last 30 days, I can't keep her clean long enough to get any decent pictures):
