I'm selling this Vstrom after a recent upgrade. It's an entry level, ultra reliable adventure bike. It's relatively lightweight, has enough power for the highway, but not too much for a newer rider. The controls are simple and the seating position is comfortable. This would make a great commuter, or something to try adventure riding with. The motor is based on the SV650 Vtwin. It uses a 19/17 wheel setup for better mixed condition riding.

The good:

Recently (in the last 500 miles) the bike has had an oil change, new tires, new brake pads front and rear, stainless lines up front, and a new rotor in the rear. It's going to get a brand new battery.

The bike has 2 windscreens, one tall and one short. It's got the moose racing rack system with their expedition panniers/ boxes. As it sits the bike should pass inspection no problem and I wouldn't hesitate to ride it to Canada.

The bad:

This Vstrom is 17 years old so it doesn't have the technology of a modern bike. The chain looks a little rough, but it rolls fine and is well lubricated. The boxes are lightweight aluminum, so they are very sensitive to rough handling and don't seal that well. It's got the dent and dings you would expect on a motorcycle of this age.

Trades considered, but I'm not interested in quads or boats.

No, but I did add type R badging that don't look quite right and a shitload of chrome accessories. Pretty much emptied the accessory isle at autozone.
