I'd like to sell my 2005 F-150 in order to upgrade to a 3/4 ton truck. I need to sell it outright and I'm not interested in any trades. Here are the details.
It is a STX model regular cab, 4WD with the 4.6l V8. This year regular cab has little suicide doors on either side to access storage behind the seats. The mileage is just shy of 116,000. I have changed the oil religiously and it has been serviced by a ford dealer for all of its maintenance (Lamoille Valley Ford). Within the past 6 months or so, I have had the spark plugs changed, new fuel filter, transmission flushed and fluid changed, transfer case fluid changed, rear end fluid changed with new axle seals and pinion seals. The rear end has 3.73 gears and is limited slip. I also just changed the rear U-joint this weekend.
I installed a 2.5" leveling kit from Rough Country shortly after I bought the truck in 2009. It has the towing package and transmission and oil cooler as part of it. I also added a brake controller as well. The tires are in good shape, probably have at least 10-15 thousand miles left in them. They are 33" (LT285/70R17) Cooper ST Maxx. It good mud flaps and a drop in bed liner.
This is like a work truck and it's bare bones simple. AM/FM/CD, manual 4WD stick in the cab, manual windows, manual doors, vinyl floors, and cloth seats. Durable and simple to fix IF anything ever goes wrong.
The only downside is this truck has some minor rust around the rear wheel wells and the gas filler cap. The rest of the paint is great. The metal is still solid and it's only surface ruse at the moment.
Its been a good truck for me in the 4 years that I have owned it I just find myself needing something bigger in the future.
$6,500 is my asking price. I still have a payoff so I do not have the title in hand but we can work that out if you are interested.
