05 1000S with just over 17k on the clock. Factory ohlins bits, Zard slipon (no cat), factory side bags, givi 45L top case, laminar tall screen and lip, as well as the Ducati performance screen, strada-avventurosa http://www.strada-avventurosa.com skidplate (not mounted), new battery, upgraded starter cables, spare starter relay and rear brake master (which is probably just as useless as the one that's on there now), sprag clutch fixed with better spring, dry clutch in aok condition (has fairly heavy springs), 434racer pazzo copy levers, sw motech up/back risers, oxford heated grips, decent chain/sprockets and tires (Pirelli angels), and a (500miles ago) full service (tps, valves, belts).
She's ready for miles, despite her known quirks (fuel cell expansion, as well as a gas gauge that only reads for half a tank (all common to every multi))
With regards to the tank, it had a new one warranteed in 2010, but it's swollen currently. It can still be removed/reinstalled. The master plan is to dry it out next winter (because the winters get gnarlier every year) and caswell coat it, and be done with it.
She's a joy to ride, the thing pulls like a train. Nets an average 42mpg, maybe a little less with the side bags.
For what you'd imagine a full size adv bike to ride like, this is a much quicker turning, twitchy even, bike than anything I've ridden in the same vein: 950, tigers 995&1050&800xc, wee.
Only reason for sale is : daddy has it bad for a 800gs
As she sits now (except clean):
And nekkider with the shorter w/s:
$5700 firm.
I've been hesitant to post it fs here, because I got it in trade off this board and I don't want to be seen as "doc-ing" it. (Sorry man, but it's a term nesrians understand)
I traded a very nicely setup bike for it, and have since fixed a ton of issues, and rigged it up with luggage.
I never expect to get all my $ out of a bike, so this is priced accordingly, and decently, compared to similar bikes.
